We were evacuated from the train at Brooklyn Bridge\City Hall. There was a line of cops extending across the street, turning us uptown. After a six mile forced march with a 50 lb. bag, I'm staying at my aunt's house in Manhattan. I just realized that the WTC collapsed; didn't stop along the way and didn't watch TV. Geez, there's gonna be a lotta dead folk.
Just heard fighter jets scrambling 15 min ago...
Pataki says that the primary election (and this morning's vote for Badillo) was cancelled.
I work 1 block from the WTC- Thank God I don't come in till 10:00 am
I work at the federal building in Laguna Niguel (south Orange County), for a private company supporting the INS regional office, and we've been given the day off. If they're shutting it down out here in the suburbs, they're really not messing around with this, and I don't blame them. Thinking about and praying for you all.
