Passenger Made 911 Call from Hijacked Plane

Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania officials have confirmed that a passenger on the plane that crashed just south of Pittsburgh called 911 using their cell phone.

The cell phone call from the jet was picked up by operators at the county 911 center.

The passenger reported that the plane was being hijacked. More details will be released soon.

From local Pittsburgh media a press conference with the Pgh., Mayr. The plane crashed in Somerset County in the area of a strip mine. What is being questioned is why it went down in such a remote location. The plane was less than ten minutes from Pittsburgh International and approximately the same time frame out from Downtown Pittsburgh. Theorizing that the pilot may just ditched the plane in the middle of no where.

Yes, we did make the reality, as we even today try to export our sick abortion on demand policy to the rest of the world. Will this awaken folks to the right and wrongs we are spewing out toward the rest of the world? Not likely. I just heard on WLS 890 that Barbara Olson was on the plane that hit the Pentagon, and that she made a call while on board. I sure hope it isn't true.

It is time that we quit trusting the airlines and the airport for "security", and insist that anyone with a concealed carry permit be allowed to take their weapons on board any aircraft that they travel on. All the current policy does is result a disarmed victim zone.

It is one thing for people to hijack planes to Cuba, it is entirely another for terrorists to hijack planes to crash them into buildings.

We should remember that the Israelis stopped hijacking by allowing their citizens to carry guns onboard. The first hijack after this resulted in the Israeli's pulling out guns and gunning down the hijackers. For some reason, hijacking stopped.

We should remember that the Israelis stopped attackes on schools by arming the teachers. The next time a terrorist came to a school to do damage, they were gunned down by the teachers. For some reason, school attacks stopped.

The US Government approach has been to pass laws to create victim disarmament zones. This guarentees this kind of disaster. I prefer the Israeli approach.

If I am going to die in an airline crash by a terrorist, I want a fighting chance by having a gun in my hand.

It went down for one of two reasons. Either our Air Force guys shot it down after it didn't heed warnings or somebody in that plane did a heroic thing by driving it into the ground rather than a building in downtown Pittsburgh.

I always used to fly with a revolver in my carry on, a while ago, but I never would have let my plane be crashed into any buildings.

My guess is that that the pilot (now aware of the NY news) made the decision to ditch the plane in a non-populated area. Either way, the people on board were going to die. The only real question is whether they would die crashing into a population center ... or out in the middle of nowhere. I cannot even fathom having to make that decision.
