Haig: America Is at War

Former Secretary of State Gen. Alexander M. Haig Jr. told NewsMax the events of today mean "the United States is at war, it's that s
It took years to win WWII. Realistically, we will need time to find out WHO. Then comes HOW, WHEN, WHERE to retaliate. Be patient.
If we learn it was middle east, Muslim, Palestinian we must consider the possibility of an epoc of Holy War. The nations which have given financial support and safe harbor to the terrorists, must be destroyed. Iraq, Afghanistan, Iran, Libya, Syria, Egypt, others must be considered suspects, and targets.
As was true in WWII, civilians will die, in large numbers.
Remember, we had no great worry about torching Tokyo or Dresden in WWII. Likewise, we should not worry about Kabul, or Bengazi, or Gaza, or Qom. Frankly, I am not concerned about Afghanni or Hammas lives. Protect American lives and interests first, and then destroy the terrorist capacity of the aggressors - even if there might be considerable collateral damage. It makes a point that hopefully will never be forgotten.
There are now calls to annihilate Afghanistan, irradiate Iran, blow up Baghdad, destroy Damascus, lay Lebanon to waste, axe Arafat, obliterate Osama and plunge the PLO into the Jordan river.
All these Islamic radical scum who have over the past 20 years called for the death of Americans need to die now. The world has put up with their propeganda for far too long. They have incited the violence against us. We have looked the other way because their excuse for terror has been political -- anti-Israel. But that's all it's been -- an excuse. I don't believe it. Sure, they hate Jews and Israel, but these radical ones hate Americans and the West too. It has been their goal to destroy Israel and Western culture and to make the world Islamic. It is now time to return the favor.
Peace be unto the many Moslems who love peace. Death be upon those Islamics who wish to harm us and pervert their religion into a cause of death and destruction.
This horrible act of terrorism could have been organized by a very small group of fanatics. -- To suggest otherwise, to call for 'war' on the little real info we have, is irresponsible, imo, at this point.
Notice that Bush did not do this yet, nor has any other offical source.
This is not a game. If governments were involved, a major war would develop. Millions would die.
Let's not let a 'ben loden' type & a couple of hundred fanatics start a major conflict.
A suitcase nuke in NYC or DC would compare to Hiroshima, not Pearl.
Yeah, right, "Herr General." /sarcasm off

You are right. I'm listening to FOX, as a commentator discusses how difficult it will be to determine just "which" group did this. Who cares? Any group which advocates the murder of Americans is our enemy. Those nations which provide them shelter, training and financing are our enemies.
Frankly, I hope we hit the groups that are planning the next attacks. Maybe they won't happen.
Wars are very profitable for both government and manufacturers of war machinery. It's no accident that the greatest infringement of constitutional rights has been done under the pretense of war. If you bring this fact to people's attention, you will be labeled un-patriotic and un-American. We should all just do whatever is necessary - sacrifice our rights and our dollars to save the Motherland. Don't misunderstand me. We need to do something. But, we should be skeptical of warmongers like Haig, who seem to have bigger plans than just dealing with the situation at hand.
Camp David was a target. Make no mistake about it.
A blast from the past! Sometimes it should be required that we go back and look over where we are at today and what have we done.
We now have Americans demanding that we be sensitive to the religious beliefs of these people, the tenets of which call for our own enslavement and death.
