As a Canadian I formally apologize to the American people for the existence of Peter Jennings. He is an eternal source of shame for Canada.

...and as an American I formally appologize for what what was said about Canadians. The way some responses referred to Peter Jennings as a "Canadian" borders bigotry, and I don't think it's meant that way. Emotions are running high. We appreciate all the help Canada is doing and will continue to do.
