Things are calming down a bit here in NYC.
I reached all of my family by phone, and will speak with them again later. Thank goodness for the telephones and Internet.
I am one of the last to leave the office. I can hear fighter jets outside, thundering by. Finally I was able to watch CNN and hear Mayor Giuliani speak calmly and get people the information they need.
There is so little to say. So many dead, so many wounded and missing, families destroyed. Let's life everyone up in prayer. God is listening at this very moment to each of our prayers. He sees each sparrow that falls; He certainly sees each person who is dead, missing or injured.
It is a very sad day in NYC.
I will head out for a hotel, not knowing whether the trains are running or whether I'll get back to town tomorrow. Perhaps getting some work done tomorrow will make me feel better.
God bless everyone at FR for checking in with me, and standing behind our city and nation in this time of crisis. If you think you're shook up where you are, just think of us in New York City, not really knowing whether this is over or what tomorrow might bring. Keep praying.
God bless you all.
