I hope someone will ask New York's senator, if she ever shows her face, about the efficacy of her husband's "War on Terrorism" that he trumpeted about on the day he attacked an empty Afghan training camp in pursuit of Bin Laden on the date Lewinsky appeared before the Grand Jury.

Of course I will pray. May the God of the Universe, Who has warned us of the events now unfolding, give you peace as you rest in HIM. May He deliver your friend from death, both temporal and eternal. May He open the eyes of the blind and bring many thousands more into His fold this day as a result of the horror and the fulfillment of prophecy.

The lines are down. No long distance calls are possible. How can I tell people I am okay? I'm sure everyone must be very worried.I still can't get anyone on the phone although one person has gotten through to me. My neighbor is doing better and he received a call from my husband. Took a while to be able to access the Internet but once I got in, I e-mailed anyone who I thought might be interested.

Twice in the past 10 minutes I heard low-flying jets. I assume they are military although I haven't actually seen them.
To: Ada Coddington
All civilian aircraft in the United States have been on the ground for about an hour. There is a specific "no-fly zone" around Manhatten and D.C., and military aircraft are patrolling both NYC, D.C., and probably other large cities.

Checking in again... Things are calming down a bit here in NYC.
I reached all of my family by phone, and will speak with them again later. Thank goodness for the telephones and Internet.
I am one of the last to leave the office. I can hear fighter jets outside, thundering by. Finally I was able to watch CNN and hear Mayor Giuliani speak calmly and get people the information they need.
There is so little to say. So many dead, so many wounded and missing, families destroyed. Let's life everyone up in prayer. God is listening at this very moment to each of our prayers. He sees each sparrow that falls; He certainly sees each person who is dead, missing or injured.
It is a very sad day in NYC.
I will head out for a hotel, not knowing whether the trains are running or whether I'll get back to town tomorrow. Perhaps getting some work done tomorrow will make me feel better.
God bless everyone at FR for checking in with me, and standing behind our city and nation in this time of crisis. If you think you're shook up where you are, just think of us in New York City, not really knowing whether this is over or what tomorrow might bring. Keep praying.
God bless you all.

Wil H, you could not be more correct! I want to see her answer to those families who've lost moms, dads, brothers, sisters, friends, or even children who were in the daycare. This is Oklahoma times 50,000. We here in Auburn, Illinois start our prayer vigil at 7pm; many of us have already begun.

.30 don't worry about me, OH was not hit, today.
I'm glad silly is OK. I knew he lived in NYC, and I was worried.
God bless us all, everyone

Things have calmed down a bit in NYC, but everyone is quiet, sad and watching television. I've decided to keep in Manhattan tonight rather than take the train home.
What can I say after such a tragedy? It has just begun to sink in. I went back to the Waldorf Astoria and watched the news for an hour, but already the day had taken a big toll on me, and I was very tired. I napped on the couch until someone called and woke me. More news watching, last calls to my family.
Thanks again for your prayers, your emails, and your concern.

Until Clintonese is only spoken in HELL, I will fight on.

Midtown is, I think, about 5 miles from Wall Street. I will check it out to see for sure.

So are you fired today Sweetie?
We had a couple of people from our office trapped in NY. They were there to address the Hill on some bills. They "decided" to stay and help. :-)
They ferried hurt people to care centers and send us a text page to let us know they were donating blood and to quit bothering them. Something to smile about.

#57 Stopped by his house on the way from filling up cars, he again asked, but is relieved to know you're alright. No need to check, I'll give him a ballpark of 4-5 mi.
We've had a threat of $4-5 per gal on gas. But our Speedway has put on a price freeze, but still $ .20 more than NJ.
Wright-Patt is closed except for "mission essential" personnel, and quite a few other closings, incl schools and universities.

I'm up late. We had to take a private car service home on Thursday due to rumors that the subways were down.
I must be up early and in Manhattan tomorrow. Thank God tomorrow is Friday...
