I am posting a reply to you in spite of the fact the Sidebar Monitor has told me not to "bump" 9/11 threads. It just so happens I am doing a little research on one particular aspect of the rescue efforts (I hope to post results but I don't think I'll be done by Wednesday). Amongst other things, I have read over 200 FR threads from that day (and I've more to go...)

In any event, check out this website I found:

Victim Profile Page

It's really awesome to read a little snippet about all their lives...I'm only up to the letter B, check out this guy:
Ret. Master Sgt. Max Beilke, 69
>>>Sgt. Beilke was officially the last American combat soldier to leave Vietnam in 1973. He was a civilian employee at the Pentagon who worked on veterans issues. Beilke, who was drafted in the Korean War, was the kid who'd always had a fishing pole in his hand, joined the U.S. Army and saw the world, said his sister, Lucille Johnson. "We could see him leaving (Vietnam) on television," Johnson said of her brother's return. "We all just beamed because we knew he'd soon be home safely."<<<

FRegards
