The title: "Number One"

The script: (Announcer) 1993. Republicans take control of Trenton, the governor's office, the legislature. They said they'd make us number one. Well, eight years later we are number one: in the cost of auto insurance. Number one in property taxes. Number one in toxic waste sites. And Republican scandals like the sweetheart deals for auto inspections and EZPass have cost taxpayers millions. Had enough? After eight years of Republican failures, vote Democratic. The right change for New Jersey.

Let's not overlook that the (property tax) cost to live in NJ is due, in part, to the fact that we get back in benefits from the Fedgov only 67% (as I recall) of what we send to DC -- a result of our INEFFECTIVE 'rat Sinators, who are too busy enjoying the perks of office to look out for their State.

And what proposals has McGreevey concieved of which would reverse these numbers for NJ? Getting the lawyers out of the Superfund process would be a start. Is McGreevey for this? Or just for more taxpayer spending which will go right into the lawyers' pockets.

Is McGreevey for cutting property taxes? Will he have to raise other taxes to spend for more government programs? Or will education 'suffer' because of a lack of funding, ha ha ha.

If I were Schundler I would take this ad and apply it to McGreevey's positions to show how ridiculuous the charges are.

I think the ad is poorly done. It mentions the 'Rats and the Republicans in the same ominous tones. It offers no positive reasons to vote for 'Rats either.

bret is a taking a break in Isreal for few days...

What do you mean "taking a break"? Bret understands that actions speak louder than words, so he's taken a trip to Israel to demonstrate in action, what he's said so many times: That he believes that in order to have peace (in the Middle East), you have to have an acceptance of Israel's right to exist -- and he's doing it at a critical time in the campaign. He could be campaigning in NJ, but believes his principles matter.

He's also travelling with local Jewish leaders, allowing them to get to know his heart, as he learns from them at the same time. He will also build relationships with these same community leaders that he will work with as governor.

It's not a vacation, it's not time off. It's much more important than that.

Why is the DNC getting involved in this campaign if it's such a shoo-in for McCheesy? :-p
