Psalm 61
1 Hear my cry, O God; attend unto my prayer.
2 From the end of the earth will I cry unto thee, when my heart is overwhelmed: lead me to the rock that is higher than I.
3 For thou hast been a shelter for me, and a strong tower from the enemy.
4 I will abide in thy tabernacle for ever: I will trust in the covert of thy wings. Selah.
5 For thou, O God, hast heard my vows: thou hast given me the heritage of those that fear thy name.
6 Thou wilt prolong the king's life: and his years as many generations.
7 He shall abide before God for ever: O prepare mercy and truth, which may preserve him.
8 So will I sing praise unto thy name for ever, that I may daily perform my vows.

Heavenly Father, right now I come to You thanking You for Your strength. I thank You Father for the rescuers who went into the situation knowing the danger. Father, now we hear the numbers from NY Fire Dept of at least 200 men and women who died today knowing that there are many more as yet unnumbered

Father I pray for those on the planes and those in the buildings as well. I pray for their families that You comfort them as only You can. I pray that this be a chance for us to witness of Your love and power even in this time of horror that we now face.

I pray even for our enemies as hard as that is. Father, many of them have never had the chance to hear Your Word. I pray for them. I pray for our enemies as You remind us in Matthew 5

44 But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;
45 That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.

As hard as it is I pray even for them. Father, hold this nation together. Bring us into a closer walk with Thee, that we may turn even this over to You, as You are our Comforter and our Healer. That You may give us all the strength in the coming days. In Christ's Holy Precious and Glorious Name. If it be Your Will, not ours that is done. Amen

Our Heavenly Father, you have blessed our great country richly with freedom and prosperity. Protect us from the evil one and his followers. Let your wings cover us. Grant us your peace and your strength. May your Holy Spirit be with George Bush and our leaders, giving them wisdom in this challenging time. Cause people to turn to you, Lord, for comfort. You are the One true God, and you are our God. Hear the cries of your people.
