BATON ROUGE -- The dean of Louisiana's U.S. House delegation said he expects state lawmakers to follow more or less the congressional incumbents' plan for redrawing their districts based on the latest census figures.
Rep. Billy Tauzin, R-Chackbay, told the Baton Rouge Press Club on Monday that he has met with state legislators, including Senate President John Hainkel and Rep. Peppi Bruneau, both R-New Orleans and "there was a general appreciation of our efforts and general approval of what we've done."
