Democrats upstage Republicans on tax cuts

Democrats in a rush to avoid blame for the slumping economy are suddenly free-lancing in their calls for more tax cuts, upstaging not only Republicans but also their own party leaders.

"The economy has got to the point where the Senate Democrats are saying, 'We're not the minority party, and we've got to come up with our own ideas,'" said Chris Lapetina, a Democratic political consultant.

What's really funny is that the same RATS that have been bashing Bush for dipping into the "social security surplus" are now talking about cutting FICA taxes- the very source of the "social security surplus."

Upstaged? Hardly. What they are doing is, after weeks/months griping that tax cuts are hurting our economy, they're now running out demanding tax cuts. Nice message, Hypocrats. Keep up the good work!

Why are the Democommies so against a capital gains tax cut? Kennedy did it, Reagan did and one other Prez did it. Each of their actions spurred the economy. FICA tax cut would help which I'm not against but add the capital gains tax cut. Give the whole USA taxpayers some breaks.
