Howard Phillips: U.S. Builds China's War Machine

Wes Vernon, NewsMax.com

Tuesday, Sept. 11, 2001

WASHINGTON - The Chinese military is growing in strength "month by month and year by year,” according to a prominent conservative leader who just returned from a visit to that communist nation. Furthermore, U.S. trade with China is, in his words, a "horrendous mistake,” and too many U.S. policy-makers refuse to believe the clearly announced hostile intentions of the communists.

In an exclusive interview with NewsMax.com, Howard Phillips, president of The Conservative Caucus Foundation (TCCF), stopped just short of predicting outright war between the United States and China in the near future, "although that can change at any time, depending on unforeseeable circumstances, which affect the decision-making process.”

If we trade in sufficient quantities with China, our merchants will get richer and the Chinese will be so grateful they would never think of laying a finger on us.

That's the plan, anyway. Do you buy it? Of course not...why does the gubment try and sell it to us, then?
