Glad to finally get their day in court, lawyers for the Missouri Republican Party argued Monday that the state's limits on party contributions to candidates were unconstitutional - and too low.
"They're invalid because the state can't justify them," said Bruce LaPierre, a Washington University law professor who's acting as the state GOP's chief lawyer in this case.
