New York radio talker Sean Hannity took his show to the national airwaves Monday afternoon, poised to follow Rush Limbaugh, Howard Stern and Don Imus to syndication stardom.
Broadcasting from his WABC Radio home studio overlooking Manhattan's Madison Square Garden, Hannity shared his unique New York style with listeners in major urban centers across the country -- including major market ABC radio affiliates in Los Angeles, Chicago, Washington, D.C., Dallas, San Francisco and Detroit.
After a brief introduction to new listeners where he recalled getting fired from his very first radio job on a liberal California college station for being too conservative, Hannity's show seemed little changed from the popular "hot news and burning issues" format that has propelled him since he debuted on WABC in the fall of 1996.
Fans of Hannity can also catch him nightly on Fox News Channel's "Hannity & Colmes," where he and fellow radio talker Alan Colmes host one of the hottest debate shows on cable TV.
With his new national radio presence and major cable television exposure, Hannity seems particularly well-positioned to become one of the nation's best known news and information personalities in the business.

In any case it is always good news to hear that there is a market out there to support yet another nation-wide conservative talk show.
From now on, he's got my ear from 12-3, M-F, on KABC.
Rush from 9:00 to 12:00.....Hannity from 12:00 to 3:00.....
and then it's a toss-up between Larry Elder and KFI's John and Ken (J & K are all over Condit)
Dunno what Chicago station he's on, but it ain't any of the high-powered ones that I can hear downtown....
Sorry... I will keep you in my prayers. lol
That ain't enough.....do you take in borders?
I worte to WLS-AM about this when the news of Sean's show first came out. They said they didn't plan to have him on their station at this time. Too bad -- I'd love to hear Sean on the air after Roe and Gary.
He's cute, too. :-)
