Posting of Bible rules often goes unchallenged

LONDON, Ky. -- While a judge has ordered three southeastern Kentucky counties to take down displays of the Ten Commandments, 27 other Kentucky counties have kept the biblical laws posted in public buildings without challenge.

A survey of all 120 counties by The Courier-Journal found that the commandments are posted in public areas of nearly one-fourth of the state's county courthouses -- and in some cases they have been for years.

With all the attention the 10 Commandments are getting you'd think we would have less crime! lol

Perhaps substituting the 10 Commandments with articles and sections of the law stating it is against to law to steal, it is against the law to murder etc would be acceptable?

Somehow I doubt it. It looks like people just do not want to be reminded that they are accountable for their actions. jmo

Garrard County Magistrate Ronald Lane, who was largely responsible for the display that measures 44 inches tall and 64 inches wide, said he doesn't think courts should block religious displays if the posting, and the views it represents, are endorsed by the majority of people.
