'President Hillary' Coming if Bad Economy Continues, GOP Warned (MAJOR GAG/BARF ALERT!)
Newsmax ^ | 9/10/01

A prominent group of supply-side Republicans warned last week that if President Bush doesn't turn the economy around soon the result will be President Hillary Rodham Clinton in 2004.

"Continued anemic growth rates will not just mean a Speaker Gephardt and Majority Leader Daschle in 2002, but perhaps even the most economically depressing political outcome imaginable: Hillary Clinton elected president in 2004," Republican leaders were advised in a letter sent by the supply-side Club for Growth.

Signatories to the 'President Hillary' alert included former Federal Reserve Governor Wayne Angell, former Sen. Robert Kasten and former Delaware Governor Pete Du Pont, reports columnist Robert Novak.

The tax-cutting group argues that Bush's own tax cuts are too little, too late to stop the current economic slide, and that a capital gains tax cut should be implemented ASAP - unless President Bush wants to suffer the same fate his father did at the hands of Bill and Hillary.

"What are you waiting for?" the Club for Growth implored Bush.

In 1992, the Clintons turned a minor economic downturn into a political bonanza, blaming Bush Sr.'s do-nothing economic program for what they called "the worst economy in 50 years."

Less than a year into her freshman term as New York senator, Mrs. Clinton is already making political hay with the same kind of criticism. Last week she blamed Bush Jr. for "undoing the accomplishments of the last eight years" and said that if the Bush presidency was a movie, it would be titled, "Honey, I Shrunk the Surplus."

President Hitlery ain't gonna happen. I don't see that AT ALL.

However, there is a possibly of president JOHN EDWARDS, or most likely, a Southern Demorat Governor being president.

I hope not - but I can see her slithering her way into the presidency by becoming a running mate.

She told us she won't run. We should just trust her at her word.

...the most economically depressing political outcome imaginable: Hillary Clinton elected president in 2004,"...

Depressing to whom -- the average American or these already bloated fatcats?

Besides, how can these guys say on the one hand that the economy is in a mess, while on the other they warn that if Hillary gets in, the economy will be in a mess?

Anyway, if the economy is still in a mess in 2004, maybe Hillary really IS the right choice for the nation. After all, Clintons seem to be good at fixing festering Bush economies.

So what is her husband's movie title? "Bubba Does Interns"? "The Lying King"? "Honey, I sold the US down a Communist Chinese river for Campaign Contributions"?

Nice try, but no used cigar. This slowdown started well before Bush was elected, so Bush has to fix a festering CLINTONOMY.

Wouldn't it be more valuable to the Democrats to keep her in the Senate? I don't think she's going anywhere.

"...and said that if the Bush presidency was a movie, it would be titled, "Honey, I Shrunk the Surplus." "

Would somebody please tell that genius that shrinking the surplus is exactly what is SUPPOSED to happen. In fact, the only reason a surplus exists is because we taxpayers were OVERCHARGED. It is not theirs to keep, it is to be returned to us -- immediately, if not sooner.

The tax rebate was merely a tiny fraction of what we are owed.

There should be NO surplus and Bush should be thanked for at least attempting to get a PORTION of it back to its rightful owners.

In fact, he should make a prime-time speech about how the surplus is almost fully shrunk, and how he will do everything possible to work with the congress and get them to return even more of our overdue change so that there is no illegal surplus in the government's hands.
