One of the critical issues Congress will take up this fall will be the so-called patients' bill of rights. There's a great deal to dislike in both the House and Senate versions, which were passed before Congress left town for its August recess. Both would expand bureaucratic control over health care and empower lawyers to file more lawsuits against U.S. businesses. The Senate measure, sponsored by Sens. Edward Kennedy, John Edwards and John McCain, is particularly bad. It would do virtually nothing to enable the 43 million Americans currently without health insurance to obtain it at an affordable price. In fact, by making it easier to sue employers over actions taken by health-maintenance organizations, the legislation could well exacerbate the problem, as small entrepreneurs

Medical savings accounts and associated health plans are the most desirable. The health industry needs less regulation, not more. One of the biggest boondoggles facing the health care industry is prescription drug subsidies to seniors. After seeing the subsidization of drugs to school children, we sure don't need to see groups of seniors being abused like that.

One simple way to place millions of people back under healthcare, is congress to let the individual be able to deduct healthcare from his/her taxes, just as business is able to do.

As with any product or service, outrageously inflated (or deflated) prices only occur because of supply issues, demand issues, or government interference/restrictions.
There's no supply or demand issues, so what could be the problem?
