SAN FRANCISCO -- Four people were found shot to death in a home in a well-kept neighborhood Sunday, police said. Police found the bodies of two adults and two girls in the single-family Bernal Heights home at 9:45 a.m. All four had been shot, Inspector Philip Fee said.
Neighbor Marlo Contreras said the victims were Anna and Anthony Shami and their daughters, ages 9 and 15. No further information about the four was immediately available.
Contreras, who lives across the street from the family's red-tiled home with rose bushes in its front yard, said she heard four shots around 6 a.m. She said her partner heard the sound of motorcycles about the same time.
Anthony Shami, she said, belonged to a motorcycle club.
Fee said the motive for the shooting was unknown.
Contreras said the couple and their children -- described as quiet and friendly -- had lived in the tight-knit, middle-class neighborhood for at least four years.
