September 9, 2001 -- SAN FRANCISCO - Japan's foreign minister yesterday acknowledged the suffering her nation caused American POWs during World War II - but she wouldn't formally apologize.
Japanese media said Friday that Foreign Minister Makiko Tanaka planned to apologize at a ceremony marking the 50th anniversary of the San Francisco Peace Treaty, which officially ended the war between the United States and Japan.

Gee, that's putting it kinda lightly. Maybe if we discussed dropping double A-Bombs on them in such cold, general terms they might take a hint.
Dumb bitch. Hey it's all good, no apology from them, and none from us. We both did what we had to do. And more of them died.
