I am sure that he will endorse Guomindang folks who advocate much closer economic relationships with China. To these people, Taiwan is a small change. They are after the whole Southern China. It would be nice if they can yank it from Beijing's grip. But somehow I doubt that. They will have to live under PRC until PRC cracks somehow. Guomindang folks may not mind sacrificing Taiwan for their own agenda. Of course, they could fail. ChiComs most likely know about it, too. We will see what happens.
