The Assembly narrowly approved a bill late Thursday to help Southern California Edison back to fiscal health.

Maybe if Gray could appoint Cadee Condit CEO of Edison, Gary would agree not not to seek office again or spill the beans on any of their hijinks together? Sounds fair to me.

The LA Times is reporting on this also :

Davis Upbeat on $2.9-Billion Edison Plan

Governor is optimistic that Senate, Assembly versions can be reconciled and a bill sent to him next week, before session ends.

This is in both bills!

Both bills also would give the state conservation rights to 20,000 acres of mostly wilderness land near Edison's hydroelectric power reservoirs.

Ernest, I'm not always able to keep up with the news from California on a daily basis. How is Gray Davis faring with the voters in California. Has he successfully muddied the water so that he's bringing his poll numbers up again?

(I surely hope NOT!)

Regards, Jen

I have not seen a poll lately, but with the weather breaks he is probably doing well enough to win in 2002.

Blackouts would have hurt him but the cost of electricy is being rigged so that the bulk of the population won't be hurt that much!

oh what horrible news this is. He's about as rotten a Governor as it's possible to be in my opinion!
