When asked if this amounted to a European apology, Vervaeke said, "Yes." Where's the apology from African states who were also involved in the slave trade?

What chaps me is that we're ponying up 25% of the cost of this travesty, whether we're there or not.

Dignity? So this means that all the hard-working decent black citizens of the world, living and deceased, are somehow lacking in dignity? What an amazing insult to a whole race of people. If I were black I would be positively outraged! I already am outraged to think the world is trying to make me pay for the sins of my fathers (IF they even had any part in it). Someone explain to me how this is going to be good for race relations anywhere.
And no great surprise the Euro-socialists caved.

"U.N. Conference Agrees to Call on Those Responsible for Slavery to Restore 'Dignity' of Victims", and went on to add that they would happily accept Visa, Mastercard, or American Express.

Probably not , but maybe you can find or manufacture some African ancestors and cash in .

Or from the Romans who took slaves through out Europe, or from the Arabs who enslaved the Jews, or from......I guess you get my drift. Tell them they're not as special as Jesse and company would have them believe and to get over it. Not one of them is now, has ever, or ever will be a slave. Reparations are a one way lane on the Autoban to increased racial hostilities. More of the divide and conquer strategy from the socialists and their lackeys.

"Or from the Romans who took slaves through out Europe, or from the Arabs who enslaved the Jews."According to UN logic, The Egyptians owe The Jews some big bucks. That will never happen. This entire affair is nothing more than an attempted shakedown of The United States. I say screw The UN.

Restore the dignity of the victims? Gee, does yelling "Get a #$*%&^ job, you oxygen thief!" count?

Well, my great-great-great-great-grandmother was raped by a Turk and he was kinda dark. You think?

DURBAN, South Africa The European Union agreed to a compromise calling on those responsible for slavery to find ways to restore the dignity of victims, Considering that the slaves are DEAD, why bother. Oh wait, socialist idiocy strikes again.
To: kattracks
...calling on those responsible for slavery to find ways to restore the dignity of victims...Those responsible who once lived in the USA are now dead, those who were victims are also dead. I guess that leaves the rest of us out of the picture...we'll just let the dead guys settle this once and for all.

This really isn't the UN Conference on Racism--it's a game of Simon Says, African-style.
