An analogy: The U.S.A. is like a cruise ship on the ocean. All of the other countries of the world also have cruise ships on the ocean, some bigger some smaller. Ours is the nicest ship with the greatest standard of living and way of life than any of the others. Masses of people want to come aboard our ship. There is only one problem...there is a maximum capacity. Beyond that the standard of living goes down for almost everybody (not the wealthy or politicians). The million dollar question is? What can be done about it?
