Think again Georgie! "Guest Worker" is newspeak for amnesty and the heck with the taxpayers! We're not buying your cheap labor bromides!

I'm a Bush support overall but on this one, I think he's wrong. We should not be rewarding those who have chosento ignore our laws. It's just a slap in the face of those who are trying to obtain citizenship the legal way.

It's no suprise that the Democrats, (Democrats immediately urged their GOP colleagues to quickly move "comprehensive" immigration legislation that would emphasize family reunification, establish a guest worker program, and include an earned legalization component for some of those "guest workers.") are pushing for this. I'm sure they see 3 million possible democratic voters for 2002.

The fact that they use the word migration should be the tip off that these will not be guest workers but permanent additions to the population. Migrations have historically resulted in he native population being displaced. We need to stop this farce and just move the border north now. Maybe if a few thousand illegals settled on Bushs ranch he might get a clue. This is going to get nasty when people finally wake up to the fact that the half million dollar homes they have been paying on are now going to belong to our new guests.

I have but one question regarding illegals in the U.S. Why is the one word I NEVER hear.... DEPORTATION... ignored???? When I grew up in So Cal, that was a regular happening. What the hell ever caused that to stop? There was a legal guest worker program then that seemed to work well. Every summer there were many Mexicans picking the bounty of the multitude of citrus groves. The way it worked then was no proof of citizenship or guest worker status, immediate DEPORTATION back to Mexico. Just as simple today if they would just DO IT. By the way, of all the AMERICANS of Mexican descent I grew up with in the '50's and '60's, NONE of them think amnesty is proper and are as p*ssed as I am about the prospect.

Bush should insist on full reciprocity from Mexico. That'd cut their water off in a hurry. The number of Americans wanting to live or work indefinitely in Mexico isn't all that large, but it would be FUN to see Fox sputtering about Mexico's national sovereignty....

"They have tried to convince the Bush administration that the Latino vote might follow the GOP along with it."

Might?

Oh geshhhh.

"I want President Bush and all Republicans to win more votes,...."

That's what it is all about, power! To hell with what is in the best interests of the country's citizens as long as they, Republican or Democrat retain their grip on the throats of the people.
Dismantle the political crime syndicates by voting in Independents and return this country to the constitutional republic that it once was.

Gephardt may be vile but he isn't stupid. Liberal Democrats have been so busy aborting the next generation of voters, they know they must resort to immigration to replace them.

Go after the people that hire them. No jobs, no illegal aliens. They are not up here as tourist. You hire an illegal alien, go to jail, no chance for parole.
