I believe it is a sin to rewrite Scripture.

I'm just glad you believe that there is sin. That of course infers that there is a God who created laws (commandments)and who judges.

IMO, "in God we trust" on money and other public/government property puts government in the middle of some religions, while it implies ignorance of religions that don't acknowledge any God(s).
