They have 37000+ signatures already - yours is needed to really let Washington know that religion also has a place in this country. We are tired of religion always being torn out of our lives by those who feel offended, we have rights also.

Where's the text of the "Ten Commandments Protection Act"? I didn't see it anywhere on the petition site, and it's not available at Thomas either.

The text of the petition:

To: Leaders in Congress

Re: Defense of the Ten Commandments

As a concerned citizen, I am calling on you to take decisive action to support the display of the Ten Commandments on the public property of our cities and towns.

It is outrageous that our courts are stripping the Ten Commandments from our public parks and buildings at a time when our society desperately needs moral guidance and direction.

I am calling on you to take two specific steps in support of the Ten Commandments:

#1-- Move quickly to sponsor and pass the Ten Commandments Protection Act" and similar bills that free our cities and towns to display the Ten Commandments on publicly owned property.

#2-- take a public stand by prominently displaying the Ten Commandments in your Congressional offices.

Our nation is in a cultural crisis. The Ten Commandments has become the defining symbol of this struggle for the soul of America. Please take action today to support the Ten Commandments. I will be monitoring this situation closely.

"We are tired of religion always being torn out of our lives by those who feel offended, we have rights also."
If they feel so "offended" by Christian beliefs, then the schools should acknowledge the believers of nothing by having a blank tablet next to the tablets with the Ten Commandmnets on it. That way everyone's beliefs would be acknowledged and nobody would be offended.;)
The believers of nothing can look at their blank tablet and we Christians can look at our Commandments.
