Democrat Xavier Becerra won the California governor’s race Tuesday, though his Republican opponent, British-born former Fox News host Steve Hilton, is leading in 23 of the state’s 58 counties in preliminary returns on Thursday morning...

California hasn’t had a Republican governor since Arnold Schwarzenegger left office in 2011. Becerra built wide leads in Los Angeles County and across the Bay Area, while Hilton found some of his strongest support, by proportion, in rural Northern California, including Lassen and Modoc counties.

Thought I would add that one of the Hilton counties was Del Norte, and they had a live webcam of their vote count.

Including the county of my birth (Calaveras)...it has been solidly “red” over the decades, but is slowly trending towards “purple” because of transplants coming in from the S.F. bay area to escape the mess they made there. Like locusts they destroy an area then move on to another.

Here is the problem: Steve Hilton, is leading in 23 of the state’s 58 counties in preliminary returns on Thursday morning...
The election was TUESDAY!!
The extra days are used by the democrats to create more ballots in their favor. They are cheating.
Not technically. They legalized their cheating so it’s all good.

Don’t doubt the cheating. Short of shooting some folks, what can be done? I think Hilton would certainly be an excellent choice above Becerra but I can’t vote in Calif. Now what will you do when Becerra makes a mess of everything? Right! It’s pretty much too late, isn’t it without a complete recount of votes, but by then the Dems will use some other trick.
One fun thing I did yesterday was type “consumer debt California” and also “bankruptcies California”. I found some interesting results including that it is estimated that the average household in that state carries about 250000 in debt and for all individuals it is about 81000 per person. Also, California features one of the highest in the nation for personal bankruptcies. Likely the rural and such other areas that went for Hilton tend to have that less consumer and household debt than the megapolitan areas that are deep blue.
You can talk about electoral fraud and cheating no doubt, but one should also see a very dismal picture of debt and spending in that state and others that tilt very heavily Democrat. If people are not controlling their own spending appetites, why should we expect them to vote for politicians who would be for fiscal restraint, stricter immigration laws, election integrity, a criminal justice system that punishes the criminals rather than law abiding firearms owners, etc? Many it seems care more about lavish weddings and vacations or having the biggest and latest SUVs to drive about in or joining the right health club or living in the right neighbourhoods and other financially unrealistic ideas just to keep up with the Joneses, so to speak.
The election was Tuesday. Why are thery counting on Thursday? FOUL!
Unfortunately, those are also the least populated counties in CA.
The most populated, Kern county, was won by narrow margin, and it had like 142,000 people voting.
Other counties had just few thousands people voting.
LA county itself had like 2.5 millions voting, a lot more than the sum of voters in all Hilton counties together!
