Security guarantees for Ukraine and a new European security strategy were the main topics of meetings in Brussels on November 5 with representatives of France, the United Kingdom, Germany, the United States and NATO.
Head of Ukraine's Foreign Intelligence Service Rustem Umerov said this in a Telegram post, Ukrinform reports.
"Together with representatives of France, the United Kingdom, Germany, the United States and NATO, we discussed what security guarantees for Ukraine from the United States and other partners should look like, as well as a new European security strategy. We are continuing work on this track. We will share details and the next steps later," Umerov said.
He stressed that it was important for Ukraine that security guarantees be not merely a political declaration, but a system that works in practice.
On November 4, Umerov said that the main topics discussed in Brussels by representatives of Ukraine, the European Commission, the United States, the United Kingdom, France, Germany and NATO were work on the Prosperity Plan and financing for Ukraine in 2027.
Earlier, he said that the Ukrainian delegation would meet with representatives of the United States, the European Commission, the United Kingdom, France, Germany, NATO and the World Bank in Brussels on November 4-5 to work on the Prosperity Plan and security guarantees for Ukraine.

Ukrainian Human Rights Commissioner Dmytro Lubinets personally presented U.S. First Lady Melania Trump with the Order of Princess Olga, awarded to her for her significant contribution to humanitarian support for Ukraine.
According to an Ukrinform correspondent, the award was presented during an event at the White House marking the establishment of a localized ceasefire in the temporarily occupied city of Oleshky, Kherson region.
“On behalf of the President of Ukraine and the Ukrainian people, I would like to present you with a state award for your leadership and courage, for saving our people and bringing Ukrainian children home. You have done so much,” Lubinets said.
Melania Trump thanked him for the award and handed over a letter addressed to President Volodymyr Zelensky.
“People are not born to hide in terror, watch drones and missiles in the sky, or search for mines on the ground. Who benefits from the deaths of innocent people? We live to love, create, learn and laugh. May this spark turn into a flame of peace,” the U.S. First Lady said.
As Ukrinform reported, Melania Trump was the leading public advocate and mediator behind the localized ceasefire in the temporarily occupied city of Oleshky in the Kherson region, which made it possible to carry out a humanitarian operation. Her adviser, Marc Beckman, coordinated the operation.
A meeting between Ukrainian and Russian representatives on the Oleshky ceasefire is taking place at the White House today.

This Ukrainian honor is given to women that have made outstanding contributions to the Ukrainian state. Princess Olga was a 9th-century as regent of the Kievan Rus.
If I remember, the Budapest agreement had also guaranteed security and territorial integrity of Ukraine.

In Brussels, the European Commission brought together representatives from the U.S., Ukraine, NATO, and several European countries to discuss efforts to end Russia’s war.
These Peace talks have NOT taken place for several months after previous Trump-led efforts did not result in any major breakthrough as Russia maintained maximalist demands. The need for Ukraine to have Security guarantees is the top agenda of these current talks.

I am proud of Melania Trump for her effort as a leading public advocate and mediator behind the Oleshky ceasefire in order made to carry out a humanitarian aid. Others ignored the suffering of the people of Oleshky. This was a very incredible accomplishment and courageous effort on the First lady’s part.
Actually, I find it absolutely deceitful, as well as hateful, that her compassionate actions were ignored by our MSM. I believe she deserves recognition and very glad she received this Ukrainian civil decoration: Order of Princess Olga for having made such an outstanding contribution to Ukraine.
