British troops will be allowed to fire on Russian forces if they come under attack while peacekeeping in Ukraine, Western officials reveal

British troops could fire on Russian forces if they come under attack in Ukraine while operating as peacekeepers, Western officials have said.

Western troops deployed to Ukraine could return fire in self-defence if confronted by Moscow's forces, though any such threat would more likely come from drones than direct gunfire.

This is because any such peacekeeping mission would only enter the country after Russia's war in Ukraine had ended and peace had been established.

As a result, British troops would be unlikely to come into direct contact with Russian forces, with any threat more likely to come from long-range drone attacks.

With peace established, the force named the Multinational Force Ukraine (MNF-U) would then be welcomed into the country under Ukraine's invitation.

It comes as 300 soldiers from the British Army's 7 Brigade are set to deploy to Poland this month to rehearse how they could one day support Ukraine if and when the war ends.

Meanwhile, as diplomatic efforts to end the war gather pace, the Kremlin confirmed today that Russia will hold three-way peace talks with Ukraine and the United States this month.

The drill is the first of its kind for the MNF-U, which is led by the UK and France and is the military arm of the Coalition of the Willing group of nations.

Will this apply if the Russians are in rubber dinghies with no passports?

How can the Brits defend the Ukranians with the current UK military readiness by using flintlock muskets with mini balls?

The British have no Navy and no equipment, let alone manpower.

One can only hope that the British learn that there’s is a tradition worth fighting for.

They are literally telling you how they plan to start the war with Russia.

Lt Gen Bateman added the Anglo-French led force was 'not a Nato force… nor is the MNF-U a peacekeeping or ceasefire-monitoring mission'.

'Its purpose is to provide reassurance and support the regeneration of Ukraine's Armed Forces, strengthening their ability to deter and, if necessary, defend against future Russian aggression,' he said.

The MNF-U will not rely on US weapons or technology including Elon Musk's Starlink when it deploys Exercise Koalicja, it is understood.

So let me try and understand the article. Western European countries are assembling a military force to insert into Ukraine, contingent on a peace between Russia and Ukraine, which I doubt Russia would agree to. Not only that, but they're stating that they expect Russian aggression, but have given the deployment into Poland a name, a military exercise?

If there is one good thing, apparently they've given up on embroiling the US into a war with Russia, despite their best efforts over the last four years (although, I'm sure their trying to do so behind Trump's back--you know, the man elected President of the United States)

Brits in a peacekeeping role? The new French? This will not end well, I fear.

Well, if the “peacekeeping” force is going to be British on the Ukraine side, I suppose Russia will have Chicom or Nork troops on their side of the line to keep things balanced.

Chicom and Nork vs Limey and Frog, I’m betting on the Asians.

At least the New World Order will get the World War they’ve been begging for.

Yep...all of this “peacekeeper” propaganda is about protecting globalist networks. It’s funny how they are there to prevent the disintegration of Ukraine while their own country is destabilizing.

The Brits are bent on war with Russia, any way they can. Even if a Peace agreement is reached, they will carry on in provoking Russia.

That said, Vlad has taken care of most all the foreign fighters in Ukraine. ( Colombians still the exception). No one is now rushing over as over 20,000 have been hunted down and been liquidated, as promised.

Never forget Boris Johnson torpedoed the second peace deal. Jolly old England needs to “ disappear”, they are a bigger threat to America than Russia is.
