Ukraine has received 24 surface-to-air interceptors for its Patriot air defense systems from the US over the past three months, despite requiring approximately 350 missiles per month to defend against Russian ballistic strikes, President Volodymyr Zelensky said.
In an interview with ABC News broadcast he outlined munition shortfalls as Russian forces continue standoff strikes targeting municipal infrastructure ahead of winter.
Zelensky noted the difference between domestic interceptor stockpiles and incoming aerial strikes, stating that Russian forces launched more than 20 ballistic missiles against Ukrainian territory during strikes on Oct. 22 alone.
“Over the last 90 days, I have received 24 missiles from our strategic partner,” Zelensky said. “We don’t cry, and we don’t scream, but this is very important. I am just trying to say that every missile matters.”

Understandable, Trump and Hegseth are saving them for the Nov 4 pounding of Iran.
That's 24 too many.
However, allied efforts to secure interceptors from Southern European inventories have met with reservations. Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis stated on Oct. 16 that while Athens supports Ukraine, it will not transfer missiles from its PAC-2 batteries if doing so affects Greece’s own defense posture in the Eastern Mediterranean.
The Ukes want 350 a month - that would burn through the TOTAL US inventory in a little over 2 months. Leaving US forces in the Middle East (and Israel for any Dispys here) defenseless against Iranian attacks.
No thanks, Z man. Quit dissing Trump and negotiate the best deal you can. Then go visit your money.
No, Z requested 300 for the winter to be transferred from older stockpiles held by Spain, Greece and Germany.
Zelensky requested a winter air defense package of 300 Patriot PAC-2 and PAC-3 interceptors
The president described a plan under which transfers from European nations holding Patriot inventories – including Greece, Spain, and Germany – would bridge the gap until bilateral German procurement contracts and the 10-nation FREYJA anti-ballistic project become operational.
I guess we could ask Russia to provide us with more of the strategic materials we need to shoot down their pilots, but I somehow doubt they won’t be in any hurry to process the order.

They need to hold on to their Patriots to be able to fight off the upcoming Russian invasion, which is just around the corner, at least according to their leaders. So, it makes sense for them to hold back.

I think you are correct, but those Yourapeon leaders seem to be insane. Did you notice the Daily Mail article yesterday where Germany and France are going to build submarines for Argentina too use against their NATO ally, the UK?
Those Yourapeons are done. We should just put a fork in them and walk away.
Greeks pretty much flipped him off on that plan. As for 300 per month vs. 300 for the entire winter, I'd direct you to the excerpt at the top of the thread.
If you are saying that the report for Kiev can't be trusted, I won't argue with you on that.
Well if you actually read the whole article, from which I post excerpts below, Z requested 300 for the winter.

They received 24, how many were shipped? /s
Why should we supply a grifter like Sweaterman when he plunders everything he touches. When in a shithole you act like a shithole is my opinion of Ukraine and Sweaterman. NATO and the EU created this problem when they broke the agreement with Russia. Let them fix it.
Yes, please tell us all, exactly what 'agreement' with Russia was 'broken' by NATO and the EU? None
Too many already
Some estimates put the number closer to 2,000 expended defending against Iran.
Whose plan was this? Use four million-dollar Patriot missiles to take out drones? ... If you are in an unprotected extra-wide house trailer, you will use whatever you have.
And still we lost 18 KIA and 800 wounded, plus many aircraft on the ground.
The Congressional Research Service Report on Operation Epic Fury Aircraft Losses documents 81 total U.S. military aircraft destroyed, lost, or damaged through October 2026, including multiple high-value assets struck or destroyed on the ground
Patriot interceptors used: About 1,060 to 1,430 (CSIS estimate)
Pre-war inventory: About 2,300 to 2,500, depending on the estimate
Share used: Up to about 61% of the pre-war stock
Average US purchases: About 225 a year over the past decade
PAC-3 MSE production: About 650 a year, roughly half for the US
FY2027 Army request: 3,203 Patriot interceptors; deliveries from May 2029
Time to rebuild: Three or more years, according to CSIS
THAAD: About 190 to 290 used, up to about 82% of the pre-war stock
Pentagon was asleep. Ukraine for years, has been using low cost drones to intercept Russian Geran drones.
Now that we are receiving our first shipment of weapons from Ukraine and they are building a drone manufacturing plant in America, perhaps we will be getting those soon.
“”Ukrainian drone maker to open first US facility in Holland, Ohiom creating hundreds of jobs””
That comes out to about 120 Million Dollars minimum. AndLittle Zeke wants 350 of them every month. Nope.
