Former presidential candidate and congressman Ron Paul has endorsed Jeremy Todd to replace outgoing Rep. Thomas Massie.
Todd is the Libertarian Party candidate in the upcoming general election for Kentucky’s 4th Congressional District, which includes Northern Kentucky. He entered the race after Massie lost to former Navy SEAL Ed Gallrein in May’s Republican primary.
Paul, the father of current U.S. Sen. Rand Paul of Kentucky, is a longtime libertarian who has endorsed numerous libertarian-leaning candidates, including Massie, in national elections.
“We truly stand on the shoulders of giants, and there are none bigger than Ron Paul,” Todd said in a statement acknowledging Paul’s endorsement. “I am honored beyond words to receive his endorsement, so I’ll borrow a few of his: LET IT NEVER BE SAID THAT WE DID NOTHING!”
Paul represented Texas’s 22nd Congressional District from 1976 to 1977 and 1979 to 1985, and its 14th Congressional District from 1997 to 2013. He ran for president three times, first as the Libertarian Party nominee in 1988 and later as a Republican in 2008 and 2012. Paul is widely regarded as a major pillar in the American libertarian movement.
Todd’s candidacy is centered on courting disaffected voters who previously supported Massie on ideological grounds. Todd told LINK nky in June that he supports many of Massie’s policy positions, including reducing federal spending and opposing U.S. military interventions in the Middle East.
Todd will appear on the general election ballot alongside Gallrein, the Republican nominee, and Democrat Melissa Strange. Election Day is Tuesday, Nov. 3.

Of course he does!!
He’s a vote splitter/trojan horse to the Republican party.
Ron Paul still thinks he is running for President.
Todd observed that with three candidates in the race, he only needs a plurality of votes to win.
Losertarian Party
If Trump and AIPAC had not pushed to remove Massie by finding and funding a primary opponent, then Massie would have easily won and kept the seat Republican.
Now the GOP must face angry Massie supporters who might, yes, split the vote by defecting to the Libertarians.
Runoffs should be mandatory to avoid perot problems.
Who cares?
Yup. We have one in our NV district to pull votes from the R candidate. Guess we’ll see in a week and a half. Or we could become Cali east.
They support the left, can’t force them to change.
Just what we need is another RINO idiot wearing the label of a Libertarian.
Who cares?
Edmund Burke reminded us that “Your representative owes you, not his industry only, but his judgement; and he betrays you instead of serving you if he sacrifices it to your opinion.”
Ed GAllrein’s entire campaign has been that he’ll surrender his judgment to the team, i.e., the leadership (whcih is composed of RINOs.) By Burkean standards, that is a betrayal of his would-be constituents. He owes them his indpendent judgment, not just diligence in beign a “team player.”
Jeremy Todd will not urrender his judgement. He stands for limited government, for reducing government interference in your life. He stands for fiscal responsibility. He stands for America First foreign policy.
If you don’t like what Todd gives you, he will gladly come home to Kentucky in two years. Ed Gallrein intends to hold that Hosue seat for life, or very close to it.
Todd is anything but that.
I agree. He’s a libertarian douche bag, and anybody who thinks he is going to contribute in any way to anything positive for this country is a douche bag and idiot as well.
And always has been. When he was in Congress, he voted with the Democrats more often than he did the Republicans.
I never trusted him.
Of course he does.. He is also a loony.
Massie was in the wrong party.
If Trump and AIPAC had not pushed to remove Massie by finding and funding a primary opponent, then Massie would have easily won and kept the seat Republican.
mASSie was NOT a Republican nor a Republican vote, and, you know that.
You STILL sound so butthurt over mASSie getting his @ssie kicked to the curb.
Read the room ... no one cares for your daddy Ron Paul or your mini-me mASSie.
Another wasted vote. Actually worse, it helps the Rat.
