Katie Zacharia has reportedly left her role as White House press secretary after less than five days on the job.
A senior White House official told Fox News that Zacharia is 'transitioning out' of the position on Friday.
Minutes prior, Donald Trump told reporters at the White House he asked her to consider quitting.
'You don't have to do this if you don't want to,' Trump said he told Zacharia. 'Honestly if I were you I'd reconsider.'
'Maybe it's not for her,' Trump added. When asked if he would fire her, Trump responded: 'No, I want her to have a good life.'
Zacharia has been press secretary for less than five days. Her tenure has been rocky from the start after a 14-minute debut briefing drawing criticism for her nervous stature.
It comes after revelations that she never passed the bar exam despite describing herself as an attorney.
If she leaves now, her tenure would be shorter than Anthony Scaramucci’s famously brief 11 days as White House communications director in 2017.

Not sure who vetted her but they should be let go also.
bum wrapped katie
too bad
“ disastrous first week “
Typical Mail TDS BS. The f’n media did a hit job on this lady and ripped her up because she didn’t pass the bar. I recall the princess treatment they gave Biden’s DEI Lesbian. I get so sick of this.
This appears to be a dupe thread. I self reported it for deletion.
Sorry folks.
Trump’s record on appointments is pretty erratic. The Mooch probably takes the cake. Let’s just say that the vetting process has never been a strong suit.
LOL ... agree.
From the Department of The Buck Stops Anywhere But Here:
This is very tough job. Jen Pasaki did a great job and was not nervous. She lied for Biden but was not outrageous about it. Her hair had me captivated, wondering if it was naturally red tint on brown. You could look at her, unlike the Haitian lesbian mop-hair muppet who took over.
Trump wants Big, Beautiful Tracts of exposed land and those who will kneel and kiss the ring.
This is the only consistent trait of both Admins.
Oddly enough I could potentially argue his Cabinet(mostly) fits neither criteria this time.
Remember when Harry Truman had a sign on his desk saying, “The buck stops here”? I guess that sign is now on some low-level staffers desk.
Let the bikini shots continue

I’m a Trump supporter and I have no trouble saying he didn’t check the box on this one.
Try a man this time.
I’m so sick of women in this administration.
In this admin, 90% of his appointments have been stellar ie. Rubio, Vance, Hegseth, RFK, Blanch, Bergum, Mullin, Leavitt, Voight, Zeldon, Wright, Wiles etc. etc.
The few that weren’t were replaced in a timely manner.
She’s a very nice lady but you could just tell it was NOT the job for her. Compare her to Caroline Levitt who had a mouth, she knew how to handle the media and came with facts, Katie on the other hand, she just looked so darn uncomfortable like she didnt want to be there.
Caroline Levitt was spectacular, she had the brains and the beauty she knew how to handle the media, would pop out answers with her eyes closed
She should have been more assertive and insisted that she spend time at the White House and work with the staff this week to get prepped and up to speed on the Trump Administration positions.
She was unprepared and it's hard to be confident and poised when you are not prepared in a tough job. I think the thing that really hurt her the most was how she fielded the question about Kimberly Guilfoyle.
This is a delicate situation for the Trump administration and she could have handled the question in a much more positive fashion.
The blame for this debacle and a host of others lies at the feet of the Chief of Staff. She is not there to play patty cake with Vanity Fair. She is there to make sure things like this do not happen.
