Who Could Replace Zelensky: 4 Contenders as Trump Calls for Change
Newsweek ^ | October 12, 2025 | Ellie Cook

President Donald Trump has called for Ukraine to elect a new leader, raising fresh questions over current President Volodymyr Zelensky's political future and when Kyiv will hold its next vote.

"I think it's time for Ukraine to get a new president," Trump said on Saturday, echoing his previous pushes for Kyiv to carry out elections that the country's constitution forbids during wartime.

Valery Zaluzhnyi

Zaluzhnyi, the former Ukrainian military commander-in-chief who is the current Ukrainian ambassador to the U.K., is widely considered Zelensky's top rival.

According to research published by Ukrainian research institution, the Rating Group, on Thursday, Zelensky and Zaluzhnyi were the two potential candidates who would win the most votes in a hypothetical presidential election.

Nearly 23 percent of respondents would vote for the current Ukrainian leader, while more than a fifth of those polled would back the former top general, according to the data.

You're speaking, of course, about the United States, or did you mean Ukraine?

Given 2020 election, what DODGE & others have found I’d be ashamed to call another country corrupt.

Trump then announced an "energy ceasefire" between Russia and Ukraine on Sunday, saying both sides had agreed to "immediately" halt assaults on energy facilities.

Russia has not commented, and Ukraine—expressing some surprise at the declaration—said it would abide by the deal, as long as Moscow complied. Ukraine's foreign minister, Andrii Sybiha, said Russia "violated the energy ceasefire immediately after it was announced."

Finally, an old school reporter who knows how to use statistics to mislead. So we know the contender has more than 20%, but not how much more, and the incumbent has somewhere less than 23%. so factor in a normal margin of error, 'a statistical dead heat' would have been as accurate, but not made the Z man look as good.

71% of Ukrainians were against having elections during wartime.

The same survey found that 71 percent were opposed to holding elections now.

Vladimir Zelinski: "I don't need a ride, I need ammunition"

Donald Trump: "You don't have any cards."

Which one of these two wins the most like Winston Churchill award?

The diesel crisis is an election price crisis for Trump that he seeks to solve by displacing the blame from himself over Iran to the little hero who resembles Winston Churchill in courage as well as size.

Z said he could hold elections if Trump can convince Putin to a 60 day ceasefire.

And then what happens if Z wins?

So we have a save energy truce that wasn't. The evidence indicates there was no truce to begin with, Donald Trump conjured it up to justify his diesel deal, which was concocted to deflect midterm losses caused by Donald Trump's Iran war.

When was that? There are many Ukie social posts now calling for St Z’s removal. The most recent has an elderly Babushka surrounded by mothers calling your St Z, “ the Green Satan”.

Seems Babushka is right.

Satanism & Occult Widespread in Ukrainian Nationalist Battalions.

The day before, a video appeared on the networks about the discovery of some occult and satanic attributes at the place where the Armed Forces of Ukraine previously stood. Of course, we were interested in amateur footage, but there were big doubts about their authenticity. What if this is staged, fake? Until the author of the video is found or supporting evidence appears, we decided not to talk about it in the programs.

A week later, on the evening of April 7, while driving around a number of DPR units along the line of contact, we met scouts on the Gorlovka-Yasinovataya highway. Speaking about the liberated village of Verkhnetoretsky, one of them mentioned some kind of “demonic” and “satanic” remnants left by the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Word for word, it turned out that our scouts discovered the very temple of the Satanists, and their commander filmed it on camera and posted it on the Internet….

….. Yes, a rug with a goat’s muzzle, candlesticks, some kind of devil’s mask. This muck is probably still lying around…. How long have you found this here?”

“About a week and a half ago, when they were kicked out of here,” the scout, having found a metal rod, squeamishly rakes the trash on the table, cautiously touching the mask and candlestick with the rod. “We ourselves don’t even touch this devilry, understand us correctly, not out of superstitious fear, of course, but somehow it’s rotten here.”

“Who was here before?”

“Both the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the Right Sector.*” On the door, you see, scratched: “58 baht”, 58th battalion. But when was it? According to the locals, the pravoseks were the last to stand here and the flag of the “Right Sector”* stuck out above the roof.

“Were you surprised when you discovered this?”

“Honestly? If someone had told me about this before, I would not have believed it, I thought that this only happens in horror films. And when I saw it...”
The commander of the scouts, who discovered the satanic temple, consults with us regarding what to do next with this, and asks:

“Can you burn it all? And then some other fool will be found, he will take it for himself. Yes, and my fighters are somehow not very aware of the fact that this devilry is nearby.”

“Yes, it’s better to burn it. There are boards, you need to make a fire.….

Its a quote from the article, which I guess you did not bother reading.

Stop with the "Satanists" bs, Ukrainians are much more religious than Russians, and especially more than all the Indigenous people that live in the Russian Far East who are poor and heavily recruited by the Russian Army.

I've noticed an anti-American tone to your posts lately. What's up with that?
