MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Multiple packs of synthetic Kratom were found at Smoke Plus in Newbern, Tennessee, by the West Tennessee Drug Task Force on Tuesday.
Agents say that during an undercover investigation, lab-created Kratom was sold to one of the undercover agents out of the back room.
Synthetic kratom, $1 million in cash seized from Memphis wholesaler That is when a search warrant was issued for the smoke shop on 603 West Main Street.
The task force seized multiple packs of the drug after the warrant was executed. The drugs were then sent to a lab for testing.
The Newbern Police Department and members of the Tennessee Alcoholic Beverage Commission both assisted agents with the task force.
This is still an ongoing investigation.

HORRIBLE. Health / life BUMP!
If it’s synthetic it’s not real kratom.
Kratom is a plant but using it makes you feel not so good.
Its main utility is to prevent opioid withdrawal.
It’s actually pretty easy to quit.
People are just trying to scare you about the natural product.
Flagrant lie my FRiend.
The ashes of the dead 23-year-old son of my friend are in an urn in the columbarium in the church yard across the street.
He took his own life with a pistol after a year worth of deep psychosis from smoking Kratom. Two months in a mental hospital, eight months of therapy and recovery and he could not take it anymore. So he took his own life.
It is a national plague and EXTREMELY DEADLY.
Do not minimize the danger.
I have two other friends whose sons are in deep trouble after smoking Kratom.
This is a deadly drug distributed in the USA by Communist Red China and they know exactly what it does.
It needs to be outlawed and the public especially youth taught exactly what it does!
Were are the lawmakers on this deadly matter?
Exactly.
“Were are the lawmakers on this deadly matter?”
Taking money from CCP bundlers is my guess.
Same coverup going on with synthetic THC (sTHC) and its effects on young ppl. 1000x more potent than natural THC and put into gummies and fake weed (grass clippings + sTHC) and sold at convenience stores. It’s done to increase profit and drug effectiveness. Plenty of cases of one hit-psychosis. It modifies brain pathways, sometimes permanently replacing externally based nervous system stimulation with chemically based stimulation. It rewires the brain. It’s epidemic and filling up ER clinics nationwide.
YT made it hard to find it. Once found tho the content starts showing up.
This is a good starting place:

Gimme a break. This stuff is in many many gas stations and every head shop in Atlanta. Atlanta itself smells like pot. You can even smell it from the car in front of you waiting for the light.
I want all these so called Smoke Shops that sell vaping junk, kratom, etc. to be closed. All of them, all over my state and everywhere in the United States. They pockmark my entire town, like every corner, strip mall and gas station like a filthy vomitus plague.
They are all drug dens.
I know they are, there is NOTHING these people sell in there that is good except for killing folks dead.
The folks that run these places are sketchy as all get out, covered with tattoos and piercings and t shirts with the image of pentagrams and a horned dragon skull with burning red eyes—Moloch worshippers.
I was in one of these stores one time, and one time only, seeing if the guys at the counter had seen a friend of ours that had had an emotional emergency and in a fit of anger walked away. Ending up several miles away before a police officer located him. It was over 100 degrees that day.
CLOSE ALL THESE SHOPS DOWN MR. PRESIDENT, CLOSE THEM DOWN NOW.
The war on opioids created the fent and kratom issues? I remember my md telling me ppl who were refused pain meds after forcing Lyica, gabapentin and SSRI’s for pain his pts turned to street drugs and Kratom.
I suppose partially true but appears great for people who just want to get high
Kratom cannot be smoked

How does a smoke shop have a million in cash ??
It was available in Missouri for years after all the medicinal stuff started. I think recently they banned it. I remember shortly after shops popped up everywhere with it that people were already saying to avoid the stuff and go to other states.
I used kratom to get off morphine after getting run over and spending 4 months in the hospital.
Whatever they are using it’s not the natural kratom.
First it doesn’t make you feel good at all.
Second if you take it orally it’s just not that strong, nothing like morphine.
Third it interacts with mu opioid receptors which are not typically associated with development of psychosis.
That said the original story is about synthetic kratom, so whatever these young people are taking is very likely not natural kratom or it’s kratom that has been adulterated.

Memphis. Duh. Was there for work inspecting gas stations. Elvis Presley Blvd is a dangerous save for 1/2 mile north and south of Graceland. Gas stations just north of there have garbage cans chained to the pump to deter theft. I saw a syringe, baggie, and a black hair weave in the parking lot. Cuhreepy!
