Elon Musk has backed Quebec independence and said Alberta and Saskatchewan should leave Canada, too, coming days after the separatist Parti Québécois returned to power.
“Good. Quebec should separate,” the billionaire owner of X wrote on Wednesday, responding to a post about incoming premier Paul St-Pierre Plamondon’s pledge that Quebec independence would one day be achieved.
“They would be better off. Alberta and Saskatchewan should separate, too,” he added.
The remarks from one of President Donald Trump’s most prominent allies come amid growing scrutiny of American interest in separatist movements in Canada, including contacts between U.S. officials and separatists in both Quebec and Alberta.
On Monday, the PQ won a minority government with 59 of the 127 seats in Quebec’s National Assembly, five short of a majority, and less than two weeks before Alberta holds a referendum that could pave the way for its own independence vote.
Despite support for Quebec independence hovering around 30 per cent, St-Pierre Plamondon has promised a referendum during his first term. He has said the vote should wait until Trump leaves office in 2029.

Should but won’t. It looks like Alberta is not even willing to send a message after Carney bribed them by floating a pipeline that will never be built.

Congress, as ignorantly modified by the 19th Amendment, is now incapable of balancing a budget. Government is not limited, and logic has no chance of ruling.

We just did a Drum Corps show at Olympic Stadium. There was a McDonald's next to the stadium (That was "real food" then), and there she was.
Long story short (too late), she only spoke French. Her mom spoke English, so yes, I had the unmitigated audacity to hit on that girl through her mom.
About that time, we were told the buses were leaving, so we had to boogie.
If Alberta and Saskatchewan separate, then there is no reason for BC to hang on. Just form a new country.
