ANDY Burnham has sparked mass immigration fears — after admitting he could drag Britain back into the European Union.
The Prime Minister said reversing Brexit entirely with a second referendum in the party manifesto for the next election was “possible”.
It has opened up behind-the-scenes splits within Labour as Red Wall MPs fear a voter backlash.
Mr Burnham confirmed that a return to full Brussels membership was an option after using his Labour conference speech to slam the “harmful” decision to leave the bloc.
It would mean signing back up to the free movement of people that gives citizens of the 26 member states the right to live and work in each other’s countries.
Despite pledging earlier this year he would not seek to rerun the Brexit debate, he said: “We can’t really avoid the question anymore.”
Asked if a referendum is on the table, he said: “Yeah, things are possible. I think where we are isn’t good enough.”
Reform UK leader Nigel Farage told The Sun: “Andy Burnham demonstrated to voters his word means absolutely nothing.
“It’s now obvious Open Borders Burnham wants a return to freedom of movement. If he gets his way, we will open our borders to nearly half a billion people.”
Around 452million EU citizens would be given the legal right to live in the UK should Britain return to free movement.

Perhaps a half a billion more people added to the UK’s welfare rolls? I’m not an economist. But I really can’t see how that could work out.
Anyway, I don’t know how British generals spend their day. One can only hope that they’re spending at least some of their time planning a military coup.

This is insane. First of all, the population of the UK currently is something like 70 million. So, adding half a billion people (500 million) would increase the UK population by ~7.14 times. It would also leave native British people a small minority of the population.

Yep. The “migrants” coming over now get all sorts of benefits. Free housing, free food, free healthcare, etc. Where would all that additional free stuff come from? The whole British system would have to eventually collapse into violence and chaos.

They are cowed (so far) by the British Police State. The Brits have something called “public order” crimes. One of which is causing another person “distress”.
So what is distress? It’s whatever the police state wants it to be. Make a disparaging comment about the illegals online or in a pub, and by golly, you have caused that group distress.
You might get lucky, and be let off with a warning. Or you could get jail time.
