New York Mayor Zohran Mamdani has unveiled a new strategy to combat antisemitism just one week after renewing his call for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to be arrested.
Mamdani announced the first ever municipal 'Strategy to Combat Antisemitism' Tuesday, describing it as 'a roadmap for how our administration will confront the scourge of antisemitism now and in the future.'
The city says the strategy represents a $7.4 million investment and is intended to strengthen prevention, education, security and support for Jewish New Yorkers.

In July alone, confirmed anti-Jewish hate crimes were 23, compared with 15 in July 2025, a 53.3 percent increase for that month.
The plan comes amid an extraordinary political clash between Mamdani and Netanyahu.
On September 21, Mamdani renewed his call for Netanyahu to be arrested ahead of the Israeli leader's trip to New York for the United Nations General Assembly.
Mamdani has described Netanyahu as a 'war criminal' and accused him of being responsible for what he calls a 'genocide' of Palestinians in Gaza.
He also said he would support enforcement of the International Criminal Court's arrest warrant, while acknowledging that New York City does not itself have the legal authority to execute it.

First he’ll establish a detailed database of ALL Jews in NYC including biographical data, address, relatives, whether they own any firearms and whether they contributed to his campaign. All this to help “protect” them, dontcha know. /sarc.

Let me guess... All the Jews get to wear a star on their jackets so that they are easily identifiable and can be ‘protected’.
A tactic called Al-Taqqiya allows Muslims to lie in order to deceive their enemy, in this instance the US citizens of the Jewish faith and of New York City residency.
Mamdani is LYING, he knows it, and the Jewish people of New York City either already know it, or they shall find out out in a very rude awakening to the clear and present danger they remain in.
Every Jew in the city should should walk out of their homes tonight if not sooner, and flee for safer quarters as if their life depended on it.
And their life does depend upon taking that action. Just leave as much behind as not needed at the moment, and take only the absolute essentials.
There is a citywide pogrom coming.

When the secular leader of the world’s Jews singles you out and calls you anti Semitic, he is probably right. Suspect Mamdani wears the label proudly among the people who are his core supporters.
