Pope Leo XIV celebrated a historic outdoor mass in Paris on Saturday — welcoming a record-breaking crowd of around 800,000.
The pope told the massive crowd that only their faith could provide true happiness.

As an Catholic who no longer practices because of this Pope and the prior one, i am glad to see this...with all the problems Paris and France has had with muslim illegals, this is good to see...
Now lets see if they are smart enough to finish the deal and vote for Marine Le Pen next year...

I learned long ago, in Catholic school as a matter of fact (I went to Catholic school for 17 years), that its not necessary to practice Catholicism to be close to Christ...while i was a devout practicing Catholic for almost 60 years- i never thought everything the Catholic church preached was right....
But your comment is emblematic of what i always believed- to many, its about Catholicism, not Jesus Christ...
I think anything that brings the younger generation to Christianity is great.
The Pope is fine if he won't get involved in politics.
It should be simple enough. On questions such as the war in Ukraine, he'll say he'll pray for peace to end the war. Seems easy enough to do.
