California Gov. Gavin Newsom announced Monday morning that he is declaring a state of emergency ahead of what could be the strongest El Niño on record.
Newsom’s office issued a statement confirming that state resources are being mobilized before the potential winter storms and associated impacts.
Under the directive, state agencies can now begin protecting vulnerable communities, preparing roads and critical infrastructure, staging emergency supplies, and helping reduce risks of flooding and landslides as well as coastal erosion.

A declaration of emergency is necessary just to get state agencies will do their jobs?
HE WILL SEND THE NATIONAL GUARD TO TAKE CARE OF THE HIGH SPEED RAIL FIRST.
As much as there “Could Be”, water in the fire hydrants and storm drains free of undelivered mail.
Umm - start lowing the dams two days before the rain is forecast, moron. That’s about 90% of what you need to do.

Yeah, the only problem with that is... that Gavin Newsom, as a hard-core, typical radical leftist Democrat, has very different ideas of what measures qualify as “emergency ones”. He will now proceed to do the dead opposite of taking any logical, common sense and effective measures to protect the citizens of the state of California. Bank on it. It’s a pattern, a trend, a constant in the universe.

It is necessary to get FEMA cash that Newsom can funnel through state agencies to Newsom's cronies.
How many rights or services will be suspended due to this “emergency”? We know from covid that people will surrender many rights and tolerate unnecessary service disruptions.
This is nothing more than a setup for money laundering in this corrupt state by its corrupt governor.
California has been in a state of emergency due to it’s left wingyness for quite some time now. May as well make it permanent.

It’s not a COVID-level emergency, but it will have to do. After all, there’s only a few weeks before the election.
If the Dems/Marxists/collectivists cared about emergency planning, then the Paradise and Palisades fires and the Oroville Dam crisis never would have happened.
The Southwest is badly in need of water beginning next year. That water is sitting in NoCal reservoirs and will likely be flushed into the San Fran bay.
I encourage Arizona to sue for waste of precious resources.
Meanwhile, AZ’s plans to expand upstream dams has been delayed because of bureaucratic hold up. Mr. Zeldin, EPA, fix this.

state agencies can now begin paying ngo’s for claiming to protect vulnerable communities, preparing roads and critical infrastructure, staging emergency supplies, and helping reduce risks of flooding and landslides as well as coastal erosion, while actually doing none of those things except paying themselves to claim they are. And California Controller will never peel an eyelid to see if the money given out actually provided what they said they would, and the money disappears into ngo pockets with a little bit laundered back into dnc campaign coffers.
We need to CONDEMN,RED TAG and EVACUATE ALL Property within 1 mile of the California Coast to save all those people from the weather.
Does that mean all state taxes dropped on gas and diesel?
Or is it just more money for the homeless?
