“MEXICO CITY, Sept 18 (Reuters) - Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum said on Friday her government is doing everything in its power to reach a trade deal with the United States soon, following a fruitful call with her U.S. counterpart Donald Trump earlier in the week. "We are doing everything we can, within the framework of sovereignty, respect, and what is best for Mexico, to reach a deal soon," Sheinbaum said, adding that Wednesday's call with Trump was "very good" and some agreements were reached. She didn't provide further details.”

The US is the dominating nation Sheinbaum will bend in the end with nationalist rhetoric to distract Mark Carney putting on a much better act in Canada right now.
Canada’s loss is Mexico’s gain. They have opened up a 200 billion dollar trade surplus with the US, the largest in their history, since this all started. Only 15% of their imports to the US are subject to tariffs.
Is this the place we now call New America?
With all these wins on the foreign policy front will the voters recognize it? Iran’s a tough nut to crack.

I have long speculated on the feasibility of merging with Mexico if mutually agreeable, and removing the cartels as the noxious MS-13 was treated. When I was a kid families drove their own vehicles to visit Mexico as tourists, including Mexico City and went out to explore ancient ruins in rural areas as well. I don’t believe that happens much today. That is unfortunate but does it have to persist?
Maybe, as part of the deal, we could adopt Mexico’s immigration and voting standards...

on a break the other day I imagined that Trump put the hammer on Carney and made him own his “war” rhetoric and pay for his abuse of trade talks to win elections. Nothing crazy mind you. Just a few small things, close the border, give Canadians 7 days to exit the country, recall all diplomats and blacklist Carney and his family for having any financial holdings or assets of any kind in the US.

The MSM hasn’t been talking enough about the foreign policy positives of the Trump administration. Even so, I think most people realize that we have better relationships with everyone except Carney and the EU/UK.
Iran is all the leftists blab about, but everyone KNEW Iran would be a tough job including Reagan…..he didn’t even want to attempt it, but it’s got to be DONE.
