DALLAS, Texas—President Donald Trump on Wednesday night cast his second term as “the greatest two years in the history of the presidency,” rallying voters to support Republicans in the upcoming elections at a historic midterm convention in Dallas.
Trump promised to issue a $5,000 dividend to every adult citizen if Republicans keep their majority in both the House of Representatives and the Senate.
“Your vote will decide whether our country stumbles at the starting gate of the next 250 years or surges forward and never ever looks back,” Trump said as he began his remarks.
“Vote Republican, and we will leave the world in our dust for generations to come.”

1. Use all sorts of ideas to elect a GOP Majority in House and Senate and continue the work to clean up the waste, fraud, and corruption that began January 21, 2025,
OR
2. Do nothing and let the Democrat Socialists take control of the House and Senate and return to the waste, fraud, and corruption that was particularly bad during the Biden years.
Does he realize this smells of desperation?
I would suggest a third option, a modification of option #1.
3. Use all sorts of *conservative* ideas to elect a GOP Majority in House and Senate and continue the work to clean up the waste, fraud, and corruption that began January 21, 2025.

Having the federal government borrow even more money, then send it out as some sort of reward… that’s not a conservative idea.
It’s more like a combination of a bribe and socialism.
Of course, the ends might justify the means. I fully understand that.
I’m treasurer for 10 Republican candidates at the local level. I want everyone of them get elected or re-elected. I figure I’m doing my part.
“””Does he realize this smells of desperation?””””
Historically, non-Presidential year elections do not bode well for a President.
So I would say Trump’s idea is not desperation. I would say he is dealing with the reality of mid-term elections and has put forth an idea of how to change the normal outcome.
Any ideas by FReepers to change what normally happens in mid-term elections are welcome.
Yep, this is blatant and shameless vote buying at a level that must really impress democrats—as they at least try to hide it.
They try to hide it? What do you call promising Medicare for all. Promising student loan forgiveness? Pretty blatant vote buying imo.
It’s pure desperation.
Donnie wants to hold on to the 880 million in GOP donations meant for all GOP candidates, but Trump has no interest in handing it out.
Thune embarrassed Donnie into that 10 M in donations to Paxton but Donnie will not give out anymore.
He is going to get us creamed worse than IN 2018.
Sadly, it appears both houses will flip and Trump thru impeachment and his new hair piece will be removed.
The clueless fool just badly jacked up Gas
less than 8 weeks before election day but actual voting starting in 3 weeks.
We are cooked.
Doesn’t the senate need 67 votes for conviction and removal?
Freegards
Unwad your panties
Nice thought... just add it to the $40 trillion we already owe.
Whatever it takes!
Poor Cultists.
You can’t reply to the facts with a reply but used a tired old sad smear.
Get ready.
You find out why Donnie held on to his 1.5 Billion
and left the GOP candidates penniless just like in 2018.
Poor TDS baby
Trump better hope so.
He has insulted and threatened so many Senators.
It will be close.
Poor Donnie cultist. Are you wearing your Trump pjs?
Where do get the lie you are peddaling that Trump has 1.6 billion in a PAC?
It’s reported at 500 million.
Poor Donny deranged panty wadded baby
No personal attacks on the POTUS.
I don’t think he does, and that’s the worst part.
