War criminal Mladic is buried as a hero in Serbia despite EU warnings

Ratko Mladic, the Bosnian Serb commander who died while serving a life sentence for war crimes, was buried on Monday with military honors and crowds attending as Serbia defied European Union warnings against allowing public homage to the man found guilty of the continent’s first case of genocide since World War II.

Thousands of mourners started arriving early at the small Serbian Orthodox Church of St. Luke in Belgrade to honor Mladic as his body lay in state. Mladic is still viewed as a hero by many Serbs. His military officer’s cap and saber rested on the coffin, which was flanked by men in fatigues.

The head of the Serbian Orthodox Church, Patriarch Porfirije, led the funeral service while Serbian army soldiers carried Mladic’s flag-draped coffin at the cemetery as mourners clapped and a military orchestra played. Pro-government media broadcast the ceremony live.

While the funeral arrangements were formally made by Mladic’s family, the Serbian government also sent a plane last week to bring his remains to Belgrade, and soldiers carried his coffin wrapped in the national flag. A military commemoration was held Saturday at an official Serbian army venue.

The EU’s moral outrage towards Mladic would carry a lot more weight if they hadn’t feted another war criminal - Hashim Thaci, commander of the Kosovo Liberation Army - as a legitimate head of state and something of a folk hero. Moral outrage is always very selective in its targets.

Hague Tribunal Exonerates Slobodan Milosevic Again
Eleven years after his death, a second trial chamber at the UN War Crimes Tribunal in The Hague has concluded that Slobodan Milosevic was not responsible for war crimes committed in Bosnia and Herzegovina

The Serbs were falsely charged and many punished for fake masscres.

And the fake news by Pulitzer faking Roy Gutman. Paid for creating fake evidence of lies.

One of the bloodiest troublemakers of the 19th century was Napoleon Bonaparte. He spread death and destruction through much of Europe - from the coast of Portugal all the way to the city of Moscow.

Perhaps France should remove Napoleon’s coffin from Les Invalides, and dump it into the sea.

Oh, wait. One nation’s hero is sometimes another’s villain. The EU should just leave it at that.

They couldn’t possibly allow the fight against Islamic terrorism and Muslim revolts from within to be exposed on the world stage prior. Especially given the ‘work’ Clinton was putting in regarding the Oslo Accords and calling Kosovo a genocide.
The work is complete; it is religious zealots (Christians included) that cause all the problems. In Middle East and Europe it is the fringe terrorists; in the US it was the fringe Christians getting in the way of progressive thought.

As I said to another poster elsewhere, I found the US intervention on behalf of Bosnia and (especially) Kosovo disgustingly hypocritial - not because I think the Serbs are innocent of war crimes, but because our media and government (not to mention UN mouthpieces) portrayed the conflict as though the Kosovars, Bosnians, etc had no war criminals and no blood on their hands.

If you attempt to read and educate yourself on this topic. You will rarely encounter the words “Muslim” or “Islam” in any of the histories. So here we are...

Bosnian leader Alia Izetbegovic wrote his famous "Islamic Declaration" about the central role Islam would play in an independent Bosnia, going so far as to replace Slavic place names with Arabic-sounding ones.

The Kosovars weren't as Islam-oriented, their main role was outright gangsterism, i.e. human trafficking, drug trafficking etc by the Kosovo Liberation Army.

The Serbs were hardly saints, but those the US picked as "allies" in the Balkans were some real scum of the Earth.

Ratko Mladic was a war hero who was unjustly sentenced by the ICTY (International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia).

May his Memory be Eternal!

Meanwhile, the so-called “international community” called cutthroat Albanian muslim murderers and land-grabbers “heroes”! No civilized person would want to meet up with one of them in a dark alley!

.........The head of the Serbian Orthodox Church, Patriarch Porfirije, led the funeral service while Serbian army soldiers carried Mladic’s flag-draped coffin at the cemetery as mourners clapped and a military orchestra played. Pro-government media broadcast the ceremony live........

That was as it should be!

Kosovo is Serbia!

Such people have a bad habit of biting the hand that feeds them. How long did it take the Afghan Mujahedeen to become the Taliban?

Not long enough
We seem to be on at least 50% goals convergence with the petro monarchs and Albanians maybe Kurds and so on

The petro monarchs fear the fundies more than we do and have publicly warned us about taking in Muslims

But still even with all that they still have the inherent Muslim creed that everyone is a non believer

So buyer beware right
