Police in Minneapolis reportedly raided the apartment of Congresswoman Ilhan Omar's son and seized firearms before arresting his roommate.
Law enforcement sources told Alpha News that a search warrant was carried out at the home of Omar's son Adnan on Tuesday night.
According to the outlet, they recovered guns and ammunition from the home and arrested his roommate Abdulrahman Abdi, 22.
Earlier that day, the city's police department said in a statement to the Daily Mail that they conducted a traffic stop and cited Abdi for no proof of insurance and no license.
The department said that Abdi was released at the scene and the vehicle was in the process of being impounded when a firearm was found inside.
Officers later tracked Abdi to an address on Marquette Ave where they said they arrested him 'without incident.'
Abdi was later booked into Hennepin County Jail on a weapons charge before being released on Wednesday night, records show.

What is missing in the snippet above is that he has a felony conviction for speeding (108) which is probably why the weapons charges.

Yeah, I caught that too. I thought maybe it was the sheriff’s department. But the article says it was the Minneapolis police department.
Given that Minneapolis is run by crazy leftists, you gotta wonder what happened here. Maybe some police sergeant made a move before the “hands off” memo got to him.

It depends on the state. But commonly, going 30 mph over the speed limit is felony speeding.
Some states also add a “reckless driving” requirement, meaning that you must have done something else wrong besides the over-speeding. Speeding in a school zone, for example.
Other states consider “reckless driving” alone to be a felony.
If we would have defunded the police, this would never have happened!
They might get her son in a bind, but I just don’t see them getting to Omar.
I can’t tell from the article whether any guns were found in the home or just in the roommate’s car.
Deport all muslims.
