At least 47 people were killed and more than 50 others kidnapped when armed men attacked a once-peaceful community near Haiti’s capital earlier this week, the United Nations said Tuesday.

It is believed to be one of the largest mass kidnappings in Haiti in recent years, and one gang leader is threatening to kill the hostages if authorities kill any gang members as they try to secure the community nestled in the hills above Port-au-Prince.

Sunday’s attack on Kenscoff pierced the belief that security in the troubled Caribbean country was improving.

“This is a major political and security test, for the government, for the police and for the international mission,” said Romain Le Cour, head of the Haiti Observatory at the Global Initiative Against Transnational Organized Crime.

That’s why Haiti is the mess it is. Before the Duvaliers, it was a poor country, but they did have a middle class.

How soon before GW Bush and Slick Willie start asking for money to solve the Haitian issue?

I had to look them up. It certainly looks like they’re needed.

Reason number 10,000 why we’re lucky to have Trump in the White House.

Now, if he’d only…
Oh, wait. I’ll save my complaints for another time.

This is what you get when primitive, uneducated people chose Socialism and it doesn’t turn out to be the utopia they though it was going to be. The next thing you know, the morons are looking for asylum in America from their fascist, Socialist/communist massas.

When, in the last century or more, has violence not raged across that country?

There is a reason the Dominican Republic has a fence.

That particular graphic is so reminiscent of one of the Korean Peninsula at night...which tells the same story, albeit for slightly different reasons that in the end, are the same reasons:

Story is intended to lay the groundwork for accepting a flood of worthless Haitian refugees.
Mark my words, they’re coming.

We need to occupy Haiti again, so they don’t come here.

Good thing Trump is in office and not Biden or Harris - they’d send C-class military transports to bring them all here.

These are the people the Democrats want here.

Kenscoff is about 15 miles on the mountain above Port-au-Prince. We would typically go there every Friday afternoon for lunch at the Haiti Baptist Mission. HBM for generations was responsible for providing the area with real vocational and craftsman skills. It was still Haiti but a beautiful, quiet, rural mountain area.

Haitians are the only ones who can provide stability to their own nation as has been demonstrated since the 1800’s. Billions have been poured into Haiti for decades with this current result. Don’t even get me started with what we saw from USAID in the 80’s.
