This year's holiday marks Ukraine's fourth Independence Day since Russia launched its full-scale invasion in 2022. "The people of Ukraine have an unbreakable spirit, and your country's courage inspires many," Trump said in a letter of support posted to social media by President Volodymyr Zelensky. "As you mark this important day, know the United States respects your fight, honors your sacrifices, and believes in your future as an independent nation."

Concerning Ukraine, elections have been postponed, NOT BANNED.
They are postponed because large areas of Ukraine are currently under violent, illegal, armed Russian occupation. Obviously, Moscow has stripped millions of Ukrainians of their right to vote for Ukrainian elections in those occupied areas.
So tell me… how would YOU suggest those millions of Ukrainians vote while they are being held hostage by the Stalinist Russian regime?
Can you answer that ?
Voting in Ukraine will be possible again after Russia leaves the areas they are illegally occupying right now.

- The Socialist Kremlin has hiked up taxes for most Russians to finance the war. Many small businesses in Russia are closing because of it.
- 40% of Russia’s ENTIRE budget is oriented towards financing the war.

Ukraine is fighting a massive ALLIANCE composed of IRAN-Russia-North Korea-China. THUS : Russia is NOT independent !

It's utterly and deceptively false. Let those in the unoccupied territories have an election. If and when the occupied territories are liberated, let them also vote. If their vote changes the results - have a new election.
Or have an election in the unoccupied territories for an Intermediate President, instead of denying the vote of the people. If and when the occupied territories are liberated, have a full election.

You are talking about something that happened nearly 200 years ago !
Today there are ballistic missiles and drones flying all over the place dropping within 30 seconds (from the moment your hear till it explodes), 500 - 700 Russian missiles and drones are falling onto civilian areas in Ukraine every single day.
How can you go out and vote when missiles are raining down nearly exclusively on civilians areas non-stop ? Ukrainians are already taking huge risks just going out to buy some food… and you want them to stand in long lines like sitting ducks at the designated voting-places? That is what is needed for mass-murder of Ukrainians. Thus, that won’t happen.
