A new and official operational directive has been issued to IDF troops operating in the Gaza Strip, instructing them not to continue expanding the Yellow Line westward, Kan News reported Monday evening.
According to the report, in addition to the prohibition on advancing, soldiers were explicitly instructed to document every instance in which the Hamas terrorist organization violates its obligations under the ceasefire agreement. For the purpose of documenting such violations, troops have been permitted, if necessary, to use their personal mobile phones.
The directives on the ground were issued shortly after the conclusion of a marathon series of diplomatic discussions held earlier in the day, during which Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu met for approximately four hours with Jared Kushner, an envoy of US President Donald Trump, and Nikolay Mladenov, CEO of the Gaza Board of Peace.

When soldiers are subjected to long combat deployments and then receive a barrage of directives and “no win” orders, its plain to see why so many IDF soldiers are suffering from PTS.
Better to let Israel take the gloves off instead of pussyfooting around w/these terrorists.
The fact that Hamas isn’t toast by now doesn’t bode well for US success w/Iran. I fear the opportunity to wipe out the number one sponsor of Islamic Terrorism is going to be blown.
Send all HAMAS Party members and those who voted for HAMAS to Iran. Political relocation.
When Israel administered Gaza, Gaza flourished
...or Madistan, or NYC, or _____!
Kushner should not be involved. I can’t see that he has negotiated anything successfully when Israel is involved.
LA Times excerpt:
When the Yellow Line was created, Israel occupied 53% of Gaza. Now, about 64% of Gaza is under Israeli control, not including an expanded restricted territory — dubbed the Orange Zone — where the Israeli military stipulates aid groups must coordinate delivery into the Palestinian-controlled part of the enclave.
For Al-Louh, his wife and six children, living under the overhang of a partially destroyed building, the Yellow Line has imposed its own schedule.
“About a month ago it was a kilometer away. Back then we felt there was still some safety,” he said, trudging around his makeshift shelter of torn tarpaulin, tree branches, splintered door frames and fabric anchored with chunks of masonry.
“But week after week it kept moving closer. Every time people hoped it would stop, it advanced again.”

World & Nation
Straying near the Yellow Line is a deadly prospect.
Last month, the U.N.’s Office for the Coordinator of Human Affairs said 196 Palestinians — including 18 women and 43 children — were killed since the ceasefire up to early April in Israeli attacks near the Yellow Line. Israel has in the past said such attacks were in self-defense when its troops felt there was an immediate threat
Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz has told Israeli media that the yellow blocks serve as a warning to “Hamas terrorists and Gaza residents that any violation or attempt to cross the line will be met with fire.”
A short distance away from Al-Louh, a group of farmers was harvesting eggplants even though they were still unripe, knowing they probably wouldn’t get another chance.
“I’m working all day to get it all out of the ground before we can’t reach here anymore,” said Ahmed Al-Louh, 25, a relative of Al-Louh’s, as he worked a half-acre field.

Well, except for the Abraham Accords
That said, I don’t see any evidence that negotiating with Hamas, Hebollah, or the Iranians actually yields lasting benefits
My theory is that it’s counter-taqiyya. Screw with the IRGC and its proxies, while the Iranian people continue to quietly arm, train and organize under the radar. Once the Ayatoilets and IRGC fall, it’ll be like the Ring of Power falling into Mount Doom. Axis of Evil collapses.
I agree. They had help on the Abraham Accords from higher sources. On placating Hamas, PA, and Iran, not so much.
“Straying near the Yellow Line is a deadly prospect.”
Yes, it is, just as it should be. Or you (and LAT) don’t think so?
No more October 7 ever again!
I’ve been thinking along similar lines and I hope we’re correct. The water shortages, job layoffs, and sky high inflation are pressuring the population tremendously. I have a hard time believing that a population that was willing to rise up at such grievous cost just months ago is going to take it indefinitely . At the same time I have a hard time thinking we and the Israelis aren’t stirring that pot
What has happened in Iran is only the beginning of a much larger war. The Iranians see it that way, and now apparently the Americans and Israelis as well. Trump gave it a shot, but I wonder how much competent advice he was given by his son in law and Vice President.

Trump gave it a shot, but I wonder how much competent advice he was given by his son in law and Vice President. You will know that the War has expanded when the KC46 Pegasus Tankers far outweigh the numbers of the older KC135 aerial tankers. Right now, the KC135s have been far more prevalent. When that reverses, you will see the change in tactics. Currently there are 5 KC135s over or near the Strait of Hormuz. During the recent activity in July, there were as many as 15 in the air at one time.
I fear the opportunity to wipe out the number one sponsor of Islamic Terrorism is going to be blown.

Unless Trump has lost his mind, your fears are groundless.
