Progressive Michigan Senate hopeful Abdul El-Sayed has wooed voters with his credentials as a doctor with a mission of healthcare for all.
But his record overseeing Detroit's troubled animal-control system, which saw high rates of animal euthanasia, has received far less attention as he's campaigned.
From 2015 to 2017, El-Sayed served as executive director and health officer of the Detroit Health Department – a powerful post that put him over the city's Animal Control operation during some of its darkest days.
In a 2017 ABC News profile of his bid for governor, El-Sayed pointed to his record as Detroit's health director, boasting that his team had 'rebuilt the animal control system.'

Retch if you want to read this article about this absolutely loathsome, pure evil IslamoCommunist who, as Executive Director of the Detroit Health Department, without a medical license, supervised mass murder of innocent puppies and kittens. In many cases his victims were microchipped and those weren't even followed up on. I have just lost a wonderful beloved dog. This article utterly revolts me. This subreptilian humanoid thing is pure evil; if he does it to dogs and cats he'll sure as Hell do it to Jews and anybody else he hates.

Agreed. I believe Mohammed Abdul El Sayed knew exactly what was going on with those poor animals and agreed with it b/c dogs are considered “unclean” by muslims and destroying them is A-OK.
He feels same about non-muslims.
I couldn’t read the story, too heartbreaking. Just gave my dogs extra hugs.

Up until the early 1980’s, damn near everyone put their pets in a roof top carrier when they went on family vacation. We didn’t bother with silly things like seatbelts and child seats, but we knew having a dog loose in a moving car was dangerous!
Besides, dogs love breeze from the road trips. Isn’t that why they stick their heads out windows on short trips?
