Christine Grady

Grouchy Fauci.

Dr. Anthony Fauci looked downright miserable Thursday after a Senate committee voted to hold him in contempt for refusing to answer questions about his handling of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Just hours after the vote to refer him to the Justice Department for potential prosecution, a sullen-looking Fauci was spotted frowning as he dutifully wheeled a recycling bin to the curb of the $2.4 million Washington, DC, home he shares was his wife and Georgetown University colleague, Christine Grady.

Fauci later hopped in the passenger seat of a vehicle and was driven away by his wife.

Grady, apparently enraged by the photographer’s presence in their tony neighborhood, flipped off the camera before peeling off.

Anthony Fauci
Stripped of his super-star status, sad fauci generates sympathy. Not.

IIRC-—MS GRADY HAS A VERY HIGH PAYING FEDERAL JOB IN HEALTH AREA, ALSO.

ANOTHER EXAMPLE OF USING MAIDEN NAME & HARDER TO ID WITHOUT HUSBAND’S NAME ATTACHED.

I thought Fauci’s wife had her job location changed to somewhere like Alaska or North Dakota. Was that cancelled?

Trying to wrap my head around this number.

A similar house in the heartland might cost $750,000, or less. DC has extreme real estate inflation. My great uncle's DC rowhouse sold for $2500 in 1955. The same tiny house is now $650,000.

Oh, I get it…sort of. My kids live in the SF Bay Area. 1300 sq. ft home, not much yard. $1.5 million.

If they moved to Indiana, for about half that, they could live in a 4000 sq ft home on 2 acres in a very nice area. I can mention this, because I know they will never move back to the Midwest. They think that the ocean and vineyards within a 2 hour drive, and Tahoe within a 3 hour drive, is worth the price they pay, even though they don’t go to those places more than once a time yearly. I try to tell them they can fly to those vacations and be saving money.

Doesn’t matter.

They love visiting here. I don’t live in a fancy place in a fancy town, but that’s the charm of it. Small town charm. Very comfortable, no pretenses or egos that you have to pretend about.

Is that 6 ft distancing a scientifically proven distance or just someone’s guess that will require all of the grocery store aisles to be marked with one-way arrows? (/s)

I hear you. It’s mind-boggling for parents who do live in nice small towns to have to fight traffic to get to their grown kids’ house in a city, and pay for parking everywhere, not to mention the prices of coffee or gas in those areas. Ice cream for four? $27.

You won’t believe our one screen theater. $5 gets you in, and a drink, small popcorn and a box of candy is $5 more. We just saw “Young Washington” there last weekend. Water was free, so that cost the 2 of us $15. I don’t know anywhere else where you can do that these days. Love our little town.
