The Kremlin said on Tuesday that a Ukrainian attack on an Iranian vessel in the Caspian Sea should be considered an assault on Iran itself and showed how important it was to eliminate what it said was the threat from Kyiv.
Iran's Foreign Ministry on Saturday condemned the Ukrainian attack, saying it resulted in an explosion that killed one sailor and injured another. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said Kyiv had struck vessels used in military cargo shipments involving Iran.
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov on Tuesday accused Ukraine of widening the geographical scope of what he called "terrorist attacks."

This is kind of a World War. You got Ukraine, Russia, North Korea, USA, Israel, Lebanon, S.A., Kuwait, Oman, Yemen, UAE, Qatar. With China operating behind the scenes... Did I moss anybody?

Ukraine did more than not threaten Russia, they actively disarmed, by handing over their nukes, missiles and long range bombers to Russia, which resulted in Putin invading and using those same missiles and bombers to attack Ukraine's civilians.

Ukraine had custody of the nukes left on their territory by the collapsed Soviet Union and were thus their legitimate owners just as the Russian Federation had those left on its territory. They never belonged to the Russian Federation until Ukraine handed them over in return for Russian guarantee of Ukraine’s territorial integrity. (And we know how that worked out.)
