Democrats are in deep trouble when it comes to money going into the midterms.
That's on top of the internal drama, the phone-throwing, and the tantrums, according to the latest scoop on the Democratic National Committee (DNC).
As we reported earlier, it appears to be so tight, they're asking vendors not to send bills until after the midterm elections. While the Republican National Committee is sitting on nearly $130 million, the DNC is $2 million in debt. They also reportedly had stopped transferring the millions they usually send to sister committees responsible for winning the House and Senate, because they were so short on cash.
They even took out a $15 million loan last year.

Now there's more about that loan — and it really shows how on the edge the DNC is.
The Democratic National Committee put its physical headquarters up for collateral last year in order to obtain a $15 million line of credit to help invest in off-year elections, according to D.C. deed records not previously reported.
The building, located in Southeast Washington and partially owned by the DNC, has been used as collateral in the past, including in other election cycles. That the DNC had to do so again ahead of the 2026 elections to obtain its biggest-ever off-year loan raised concerns among some members that it was further evidence of its intensifying financial strain.
If they can't cover what they have to with the fundraising and they have to put their headquarters up for collateral, that's a big issue. This sounds like dire straits.
That is not making some inside the DNC happy.
“Ken gaslighting us about the DNC’s finances and not being transparent about the financial situation makes us doubt if he can oversee the DNC during the most important primary of our lifetime,” said a DNC member, granted anonymity to discuss the issue candidly.
We reported earlier that Martin allegedly threw a phone at a desk while he was yelling at an aide.
One DNC source said, “It’s just f***ing unacceptable. This is spiraling behavior."
Another source termed it “not surprising."
“He’s been super paranoid,” said one of the DNC sources of Martin’s recent behavior. “He’s super embattled.”
That source pointed to the fact that DNC officers were asked to sign nondisclosure agreements in advance of a meeting concerning its financial circumstances as an example. The nondisclosure agreements were first reported by Axios and confirmed by NOTUS.
“He’s not in a great place at all,” said one of the sources close to Martin. “I’m very concerned.”
Martin reportedly had chastised people in the DNC about leaks, and it looks like he can't even stop that, as the leaks continue.
Republican House Majority Leader Steve Scalise (LA-01) made a great point.
The Democrats had to put their own headquarters up as collateral.
But they still think they know how to spend your money better than you do… https://t.co/KZnlWdBNVp— Steve Scalise (@SteveScalise) July 26, 2026
Why would anyone want to put these guys in charge of the government?

I don’t get it. The candidates have no problem getting money from rich people but the DNC isn’t getting any? Could it be they’re just squandering it? Gotta admit Trump has brought out the fight in our side so perhaps they spend more defending themselves.
Must be the “Quiet Piggy!” slaps.
Maybe no one has confidence in the DNC Chairman that looks like Tow Mater?
“they’re asking vendors not to send bills until after the midterm elections.”
So they are going to stiff their vendors the same way Obama stiffed the vendors for his hideous mausoleum / flak tower in Chitown!
Seems to be a D pattern.
Boy with this be a great time for Ty Clevenger to bring out stuff about Seth Rich.
As we reported earlier, it appears to be so tight, they’re asking vendors not to send bills until after the midterm elections.
That is not legal. A debt is created and has to be reported to the FEC at the time of obligation, not when the bill is presented. Thus if vendors do work, it must be accounted for on the reports.
They have to be careful about how they structure this, or they risk running afoul of the FEC in-kind contribution rules. They can't ask their vendors to offer deferred payment terms that are different from what they would charge ordinary businesses.

HOW DO YOU TAKE OUT A $15 MILLION LOAN ON A BUILDING YOU “PARTIALLY OWN”.
IF YOU DEFAULT ON THE LOAN-—HOW DOES THE LOAN HOLDER GET “PART OF A BUILDING”??????????
I thought that they’re getting all of their money from Soros and China?
Looks like that well is drying up.
Candidates are fine. This is about the party.
Kamala ran the acct dry and maxed their credit cards, now they gotta sella da house.
Cash in advance is the only way they should be doing business with the DNC.
“… the DNC is $2 million in debt.”
The donors are probably bypassing the DinNC and giving money directly to the candidates.
Meanwhile
The Republican War Chest Advantage is massive. In the first half of 2026, Republican-leaning donors poured $1.05 billion into the election cycle, compared to just $360 million from Democratic-leaning givers.
Super PAC Dominance: The bulk of this capital is sitting in conservative super PACs, which are allowed to accept unlimited sums of money to run aggressive ad campaigns and voter-turnout operations.
Elon Musk’s massive contributions despite briefly stating in early 2025 that he would scale back on political spending, Musk has heavily reversed course and is cutting multi-million dollar checks to ensure Republicans maintain control of Congress.
Midterm PAC Funding: According to recent Federal Election Commission (FEC) data, Musk has already contributed over $90.6 million in large donations during this cycle.
His top 2026 donations include $50.3 million to his own America PAC, $10 million to the Congressional Leadership Fund (supporting House Republicans), and $10 million to the Senate Leadership Fund (supporting Senate Republicans).
Musk is also expanding his influence beyond Washington. He recently cut a $5 million check to V-PAC to back Republican Vivek Ramaswamy’s gubernatorial bid in Ohio and has pumped nearly $5 million into the Texas GOP to support Governor Greg Abbott.
This is absolutely not wrong, and we should be encouraged by and motivated to act as a result of this. But also don’t get lulled into a false sense of security because the DNC is only one of several sources of campaign spending for Democrats and others are flush with cash.
Don’t be deceived by single data points.
They are. It’s just not flowing to the DNC.
The same way you would if you were part owner.
The Republicans are not that inspiring (except for Trump) and we can criticize them for their advocacy of "crony capitalism".
Or we can support the red-green alliance (Islam & Marxism).
The corrupt Republicans are not that bad.
If things were "normal", they should lose in November.
But we are living in interesting times.
I’m happy with President Trump and his administration. As far as the elections go, I’ll take anyone over a democrat. I am more concerned with the local elections this time around. It was difficult to get honest information about these candidates.
